I don't know if this thread still active. It seems i have found a solution for anyone who's using AOSP rom. There's a magisk module name Pixelprop. Just install it and everything is working. I'm using Note 9 with Evolution rom android 12, and using Galaxy Watch 4. It doesn't need modded app. Just install like usual. Here's the link

Dear adil192,

I would like to ask you could you please to modify the latest Samsung Wearable app for Huawei P9 Lite mini?
My son got a Galaxy Watch 4 from the Santa Claus and he is so sad, becasue he can not use it. We didn't know this, that we can't pair with other android phone than Samsung.
Please help for us, and you will be our Santa.
Thanks for your all work.

Are there any Galaxy watch 5 pro mods to hack the ECG/EKG and blood pressure reader into working. Samsung falsely advertised these features, and since there Is no class action law suit to jump on we need a hack/workaround.

Funny we must be using two different forum search boxes, because when i type "samsung health monitor" into mine, theres the thread i linked to on page two of the results. Just maybe youre one of those people who refuses to click to a second page of search results and expects everyone to spoonfeed you everything....

Youll have to remove ANY patched apps you installed first....those should be easily identifiable as they would be installed as user apps with an uninstall option via Settings - > Apps and tapping the app . The uninstallable ones would be system installed apps....

the other option is something like: https://adbappcontrol.com/en/

Only you know which ones you installed, this might include:

Samsung Health
Samsung Accessory Service
Samsung Galaxy Wearable
Watch x Plugin (where x = number/model)

These patched apps were arguably a bad idea even when this thread started, as patching each app was overboard imho, when really only a one main app or two (and at worst a few prop changes) needed targetting and via other methods....

Ultimately blame Samsung for being asshats for prohibiting you using devices you paid a premium for from workikgn the way YOU wanted them to.

The only thing i used on my S20+ (before i departed due to being sick and tired of Samsungs stupidity and lockdown mindset for a Pixel 6 Pro - where life is 100% less stress free using my Watch 4 as I WANT TO), and created - from a method sent to me - was this module to get Samsung Health working:

As noted this is a Samsung phone only fix. Last tested working on S20+/A13 shortly before i got my Pixel

That was the last in several years of workarounds to beat Samsung, i just got really tired of it....bascially my advice if you want to use a Samsung Watch/Wearable and have a happy life is to buy almost anything but a Samsung phone...half the battle will be done for you by not having your device identified as being a Samsung and having a Samsung bootloader...

Vote with your feet, eventually those Samsung clowns might get the message, that paying $1000 for a phone and then $600 for a watch means its yours, NOT theirs

    Hello everyone,

Recently I have been experimenting with custom ROMs on my Samsung phone and was very unpleasantly surprised to find that Samsung does not allow my Galaxy Watch to be used with modded Samsung phone... Yeah, I know there's the option to replace manufacturer and brand in build.prop, however I don't like the idea of unnecessarily modifying the system just for a couple of proprietary apps, so instead I took the approach of patching the apps to make them work with the phone again.

All that needed to be done was patch manufacturer and brand to static string(s). Here's a command to do just that:

    Bash:
    find . -type f -name "*.smali" -exec sed -i 's/sget-object \(v\|p\)\(.\+\), Landroid\/os\/Build;->\(MANUFACTURER\|BRAND\):Ljava\/lang\/String;/const-string \1\2, \"letitbeheardthisphoneistobetreatedasifitwereofabranddifferentfromtheonestartingwiths\"/g' "{}" \;

Patching the apps, however made the shealth app refuse communication with the wearable app due to mismatching signing certificates and it needed to be patched too. It is possible to either completely bypass signature checking or insert custom certificate - I have attached a patch that does just that.

You can (and probably should) do this yourself if you want to use the modified applications. Just decompile apks with apktool, apply the command in the directory with the apps content (it is necessary for Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Accessory and Galaxy Watch Plugin apps), and insert you own custom certificate into Galaxy Watch Plugin (attached patch - just replace the cert with your custom one). If you use Samsung Health, just replace the certificate string with hex-encoded certificate you used to sign the apps in the attached patch and apply it to the app. Then rebuild the apps and sign using the key whose certificate you just inserted into the apps.

Although you should never trust a random stranger on the internet with apps you install, I understand not everyone wants to go through this process themselves, so hereby I solemnly promise there is no malicious code inserted into the provided apks. And here's the link

    App Versions:
    Samsung Accessory (com.samsung.accessory): 3.1.94.11128
    Galaxy Wearable (com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager): 2.2.42.21083061
    Galaxy Watch PlugIn (com.samsung.android.geargplugin): 2.2.05.21042051
    Samsung Health (com.sec.android.app.shealth): 6.18.7.005

To anyone coming across this post who wants to do this themselves, I've made a little guide and some tools here: https://github.com/adil192/SamsungAppsPatcher.

I've also attached the apks I've patched if you don't want to do it yourself (since the ones in OP didn't work for me) here: https://mega.nz/folder/sUFj2C5b#M4zEP-c9ylY-ENxPw7qCUQ. Like OP, I promise I haven't added malware in this.

Edit: I've somewhat automated the process now so if anyone wants me to patch another plugin, just @ me and I'll get it added as soon as possible.

No idea what you're talking about. My watch works fine with my note 10+ using Dr ketan rom.
Same with Alexis. I just hide it with magisk but it was working just fine before that.

I was talking about AOSP-based ROMs. Generally, I build and sign the ROM whenever possible and so I don't find it necessary to root my devices. Also I don't like the idea of making changes to mask the actual device and when the app is used with Samsung phone, it relies on proprietary interfaces implemented only in Touchwiz, which are not available in AOSP. Since it is an app issue, it makes sense to make changes on the app level instead of the system level.

hello, i am in the same boat now, Note10+ SM-976N KOO flashed with AutoPatch Dual Sim Custom ROM pre-rooted with magisk, and my Galaxy Watch not pairing to phone, i have tried the Patched APKs, latest and all older versions, also tried with DenyList and Official APKs, no luck, very dissappointing, any hints will be appreciated.

    Edit #1
i just found the fix and got it working perfectly, let me explain the details:

    - previously while testing with all the Patched APKs versions, the Programs loads fine and bypasses the signature check but i noticed the Bluetooth connection could not be held connected to the watch while pairing and i always get an error from the Watch Plugin ( Application stopped working or something like that) and Wearable app is always stuck on last step of pairing forever ( so Bluetooth was causing also an issue here )

    - Now i deleted all the patched APKs/restarted the phone then installed the official Samsung APKs for Samsung Health/Galaxy Wearable/Galaxy Watch plugin/Samsung accessories and i used the latest Magisk with Zygisk and DenyList Enabled from settings with all Samsung apps/modules/werabale/plugins listed in DenyList

    - and for the Bluetooth connection problem i was lucky enough to find this BT patcher on Github:

there are 2 methods to install it, for my phone i can't use TWRP recovery so i installed the magisk module and Termux terminal and i applied the needed commands, then Reboot.

Now the Watch will hold a stable Bluetooth connection, the BT icon is always showing connected and pairing is completed from first try.
I restarted the phone and the watch many times to confirm it's working and always the watch will reconnect to my Note10+

I don't know if this BT patch will work with the Patched Apps and fixes the Patched Watch Plugin error (honestly don't want to delete everything again to try it)

i hope this info will also help others that are trying to get this working like i was.

    Edit #2
I deleted all official APKs and installed latest patched version with the BT still activated and upon first attempt to pair with the watch i got the Watch Plugin error again (this Program keeps Stopping....)

Bottom Line, the fix was with the Official Samsung apps and the BT patch + Magisk DenyList

    Edit #3
i even found out that Samsung Pay works also with rooted phones :D

    Cheers
