hi, just tried installing this on my AOKP 31 gnex but I'm getting a status 0 error in the installation. I'm running the latest CWM recovery, which is what I'm trying to install with. Any ideas? Sorry to be a pain, couldn't find a fix in google or searching this site :/

Try redownloading the .zip, maybe the Dropbox borked it, when I updated it. I just tried flashing the file from Dropbox in CWM and it was fine.

[edit] It seems, the status 0 error is something with wrong update-binary file (although it flashed fine on my device). I updated the .zip, it's now version _3. Please download it again.

Anyway, could you replace the default "" with enter key? Frankly, I don't give a damn for smilies but I really miss the simplest feature to break the line in android. Could you do it?

Well, the smiley key/enter are displayed based on the textbox type. When it's in "IM_mode" like in Talk, the smiley button is there. Otherwise, it's enter or "URL_mode" with .com buttons, etc. Some other custom keyboards have it done like, enter is displayed all the time, but press and hold on enter key displays smileys. That would be a great solution, but would go beyond my intentions with this mod, the idea is to keep it simple and focused. Maybe someone else could work on it, sorry :]

Hey, no problem. If I wanted it so bad I'd use a non-stock keyboard, but I prefer the stock one. Thanks for explanation nonetheless.

Now I seem to have the same problem, but with version 3. I also get status 0 trying to flash in CWM

Hey, how do I get this thing to install? I tried flashing it through recovery and nothing changes. I went to the keyboard options as well and there isnt an option either.

This is tested on stock and CM9, no idea what happens on some other custom ROM's. You might want to check /system/app for LatinIME , if there are multiple copies of it, some ROM's have a different name for it.

Kinda forgot about this lol, I use SmartKeyboard now. I'll try to post an updated version, when I get new RAM back from the store (4 gigs stick was borked).

I've decided to not continue this mod anymore, since I really don't have time for it. If someone wants to continue the places to change are :

The keyboard button with the smiley is in res/xml/key_styles_common.xml, smileys and other keys are in src/KeyboardTextsSet.java.

I'm sorry if I dissapointed anyone.
