I'm running 12.29.56-vanced arm64 (RedBlack) and tested casting to a Chromecast, Nexus Player and MiBox with no crashing. Just to be sure I've tried the GreyBlack and NonThemed versions and no crashes there either.Hey guys, I am at work so I don't have much time to provide more information. Will provide logcat ect
..when I get home. When I go to cast to my TV. App crashes. I want to make sure it isn't something on my end first or something I themed breaking it. I was using black and gray (no dpi) latest arm 64 version. I also made some changes to the theme so I want to make sure it's not that first. Could someone test chrome cast?
Moved to system/app and flashed zip working fine, I'll test tonighti still install new mod youtube like move it to system/app like u say and it looking fine with me.
im not flash anything. just install like thatMoved to system/app and flashed zip working fine, I'll test tonight
External devices like Chromecast or Roku use their own internal YouTube app. Your phone just tells it what video to pull up, so it will still have ads.I am using chromecast and my tv for external play and got some ads.
I know yoi said it could happen.
But its just for you to know
Thanks
Did you read the op?Hi,
Since flashing mod does not work for me, could someone write how to install it manually, please? I would really appreciate it. Is it necessary to delete old version of youtube before? Thank you
P. S. I tried to read through this topic, but haven't found anything useful.
Instructions
YOU WILL NEED ROOT FOR THIS!
First step: UNINSTALL EXISTING YOUTUBE if you have it. Recommend using one of the many system apps Uninstallers that you can find on the play store, or a file manager that can delete from /system/app
Using your phone:
Download the APK for your cpu architecture
Use a file manager to place the APK in an empty folder, so it contains only the APK
Use a file manager that can write to /system (i.e: has root support) to copy the folder that contains the APK to /system/app
Use the same file manager to set permission 755 on the folder that contains the APK and permission 644 to the APK file itself
Reboot
Enjoy!
If you want to help stop ads see Reporting Bugs Post#2Ads are back for me also. Using latest version from OP and have also tried the version from the 2nd post.
Ads are also unskippable.
The only api16 version available on APKmirror is x86. If it's not on APKmirror then it won't be available here.no version for api16 arm ?
Download the latest version 12.29.56-vanced from Post#2 then see manual install steps in Post#1Hi,

no version for api16 arm ?
I believe you can make minAPI16 nodpi version of arm by downloading the Youtube_12.29.56-1229562700_minAPI16(x86)(nodpi)-vanced-vp9-backgroundplayback.apk and Youtube_12.29.56-1229563300_minAPI21(armeabi-v7a)(nodpi)-vanced-vp9-backgroundplayback.apk. Then take out the libraries from armeabi-v7a and put them in the x86 one (delete the x86 libraries). The only api16 version available on APKmirror is x86. If it's not on APKmirror then it won't be available here.
You can disable substratum, clear YouTube data and restartHi!
