Can someone please help
disabled chrome 77.0.3865.92
uninstalled updates on android system web view to version 74 0 3729 136 9 (can not disable)
disabled youtube app
installed microg 0.2.4-81-gb1e98ea-dirty
installed og youtube 12.10.60-3.5 u
reboot
still can't sing in to ogyoutube past the disclaimer google page (constant loading)

Also tried v-droid solution with Vanced but can not downgrade chrome past 74
Samsung s10+ Android 9

This app is no longer supported and no new microG for OGYT has been released either (that I know of...maybe we should try to get that updated...) to fix the signing in. And yes, there are now problems with all downloads.

But OGYT still remains my main YT app; best themed one ( ) and all the gestures popup and background playback are worth using...

Like it's been mentioned here often before, just share links to another video download app when needed... But yes I miss the signing in to comment and save in watch later.

Well, I tried but understandably, the dev did not or doesn't want to put more effort in this and/or go against Poogle...

But, I did find a partial solution for logging in (and thanks to the dev @OGMods for directing me that way: I've tried before but not hard enough ):

And get the microG for vance for older youtube app (pic)
Get the black OGYT v3.5 somewhere from the last 10-20 pages of this thread (edit: found this post but did not verify or tried it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78152923&postcount=7130), try to log in and after a while of waiting, that microG should work.

This is a more detailed guide for those that are not able to log into OGYoutube, this is a guide related to another app (YouTube Vanced) but it worked for me.

Ahead I'll mention the steps I followed to fix this issue but if you like you can also read the full guide quoted below.

1.- Uninstall/disable Google Chrome and/or Android System Webview and then reboot you device.

2.- After your device is back on, make sure to install OGYoutube and MicroG app.

3.- Follow the steps to sign into your account

4.- After you log in you can reinstall or enable Chrome/Android System Webview.

I also have to mention that this information is not my property and any credits go to the people that found a solution to this issue

On a side note, magisk version and root version of YouTube Vanced do not experience the log in issues, only the version that uses MicroG (same as OGYoutube)

And I'd say: save yourself the trouble and check my post just above

Did you make sure that Vance MicroG has the contacts permission turned on? I just had the endless spinner until I did that on a reinstall. and I'm on Oxygen OS PIE..

I have to login to say thank you! Remember to set all permissions to the microG then we can toggle them off after login successful.
I really love the slide to seek gesture, the youtubevanced is newer but lacks of that feature! Do you know any alternatives?
Oh you are the guy who contributed the black theme for the OGyoutube? Thank you again, are the any newer customization?

Also I almost gave up because it was still stuck on the sign in screen and I was like "dang guess it didn't work", I then hit the back button and when it went back to ogyoutube I guess it actually did sign me in because I closed and reopened it and bam I was signed in. Dunno if disabling chrome and restarting my phone had anything to do with it, but to anyone else reading this, make sure to manually approve the permissions for the Vanced MicroG app before signing in.

Thanks, my old version used to work fine till I changed my password today. Fortunately It worked just pressing the back button like you said

It's amazing that this old verion still works. I bet you can't download but at least there isn't advertisement. It's lighter than vanced too. Good for old devices.

App closing?

Have anyone noticed the problem that started couple days ago? As soon as I open an app (tried both phone and tablet) its closing immediately. There's no crash error or anything else, just automatic shut down. Clearing data helps to open it again but problem comes back constantly.. does anyone know the reason or solution? Using 3.5 black version but other versions are the same.

App crashing

Its the app dead for good now? I used since 2017 and now the app just closes after opening and now when i go to something like watch later, any playlist or history and come back to the homescreen It gives a error 400, also everytime i close the app i have to clear cache and data again to make It work, or else the app just crashes.

I tried everything, safe mode, changing settings, logging out etc. Nothing worked so switched to vanced YouTube. Slightly different but easy to get used to.

Im using Vanced for now but its not the same, the New layout is strange to use, btw i just got a weird problem, after trying to install and reinstall MicroG multiple times, my main account could not login anymore on the main user, not even on Vanced 2.6 version, so i had to create a new one just to watch videos, tried everything from the FAQ but the issue stayed on the main user, has someone had this problem before?

can someone please take this project and continue? it's too good to let die, and the new versions of yt only give problems for older devices.
