Yeah, please do bring back the dislikes. If it's even possible that is.
Well there are some plugins out there that work (for now). This is of course not the priority here but I do agree, would be a nice-to-have. @Team Vanced does have a track history of adding in all the good stuffYeah, please do bring back the dislikes. If it's even possible that is.
Oh good, so I'm not the only one with that issue. Much more helpful than the last useless response.I get the endlessly repeating notifications too. Had to turn notifications off in the app.
I installed non-root version, for now...Yeah, the OOS 11.1.2.2 update came with preinstalled youtube version 16.30.xx, so now it seems impossible to install Vanced since its running on 16.29.39. I tried uninstall youtube with "adb uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.youtube" and succeeded, but can't seem to find a 16.29.39 apk that im able to install sadly. Hope there's a solution to this.
Are you talking about this (see attached screenshot)?Oh, and thanks to the team for fixing the casting bug where the connection gets kicked/reset when connecting/reconnecting. Can now connect through multiple devices with Vanced and not have to worry about that.
I have the same problem with Xiaomi.
Delete Youtube with "App Manager" or a similar app.
Boot to TWRP
Go to [Mount], Enable only "Product" and go back.
Go to [Advanced], open the "Terminal" and write:
mount -o rw,remount /product
Go back to [Advanced] and open the "File Manager".
Click on "product/app/YouTube/YouTube.apk" and press "Delete".
-> Maybe you must delete the directory too.
Reboot to the system.
Start "Vanced Manager".

How to Mount the Product folder in TWRP?
Mountings are commonly different in live systems to TWRP. Have you checked forHow to Mount the Product folder in TWRP?
I can't find it.
Only System or Vendor etc
/system/product
?mount;
or df -h;
on your live system may give you a clue as to the source of the product partition. Even system/partition shows as a mount point.I don't have TWRP. Anyways, what do I lose if I keep the non-root version? What are the downsides? Does microG drain the battery or something?
Someone created a simpler option to block the play store from updating YouTube or any other app. You might want to check it out. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-xposed-4-1-update-locker-stop-update-your-apps.4433253/Sorry but I have two Xiaomi phones. And this thread (users reading) is about Vanced
Btw, if you flash stock boot you will be able to boot but without Magisk.
And without root, hence you won't be able to manage Magisk and LSPosed modules
However, /data/adb with the Magisk/LSPosed stuff will remain and next time you flash the patched boot img with Magisk, you'll have the same problem again
Hence you really need TWRP to disable LSPosed Magisk module, or two other methods described in Wiki: Android Safe mode or adb command
Or factory reset to clean Data
Fine but I'm not interested, I use HMA for almost a year on two phones, to detach YT, Android Auto and couple of others apps I don't want to updateSomeone created a simpler option to block the play store from updating YouTube or any other app. You might want to check it out. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-xposed-4-1-update-locker-stop-update-your-apps.4433253/
From their faq:Help please.
Vanced version : 17.... but vanced app disnt show any update after v14
Now I'm not able to sign in. Should I install new Micro G.
Or anybody know where to get Non root vanced.
With the read-only SAR systems (modern Android versions), you can not edit /system/etc/hosts - in that case you need to use Systemless hosts, and then you would have to edit instead /data/adb/modules/hosts/system/etc/hosts fileBug Report
High CPU load caused by logcat spamming, on latest Vanced YouTube / YouTubeMusic app in combination with latest AdAway app or just their official hosts.txt. Same applies for Magisk systemless hosts module.
I had reported (wrongly) this issue firstly to the AdAway team. But they correctly stated that it's app specific issue.
Anyway, I'm not 100 % sure if it's an issue introduced by Vanced-Team or it's just a Google issue.
Workaround
remove
from /system/etc/hosts. (save and reboot)
