My apo;ogy if the question has already been answered before.

Does anyone know which version of YT Vanced (non rooted) drains less battery?
A lot of users on YT Vanced Telegram group and Redmi K20 Pro group reported a huge battery drain on the latest v15.43.32 (even I noticed the same) version.
Hence, I installed v15.40.37 and seems like this version is also draining quite a lot of battery (see the screenshot).
I streamed Netflix for 2 hours on FHD (1080p) and it consumed less than half of what YT Vanced consumed in 2 hours.
There is definitely something wrong with the last few YT Vanced releases. The official YouTube app doesn't this much battery.

I tried snaptube and couldn't download anything from YouTube. Anybody else know a way for download vids for pc?
On a PC, I use IDM(Internet Download Manager) to download videos.

If I want to convert YouTube video directly to MP3, I use the 4K YouTube To MP3.

The new app, YT-Music is great!

Is it possible to block certain video with keywords, like blocktube for Chrome. It's useful to avoid spoiler, like for now I want to avoid everything about CP2077.

All tittle, description and comment about CP2077 will be hidden

Magisk module for Inject YouTube Vanced Dark - Test Version v0.1

I made test Magisk module for method discovered by @ipdev for mounting Vanced app on top of original YouTube app (more in his post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83378189&postcount=16546).

Installation:
  1. Download and install YouTube bundle:
    https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...elease/youtube-15-33-34-android-apk-download/
  2. Download and install Magisk module from attachment

Tested on Xioami Mi6 with Android 9 (MIUI 12).
Hello guys. i have been using this method since august. i simply installed through magisk, this attachment, and youtube vanced is working great since then and youtube hasnt auto updated since then. this was the easiest way to have youtube vanced for me. but eventually i will be forced to update to newer version of youtube and vanced (because at some point something will not be working).
So, what will be the best way to have an updated vanced? i am looking at the easiest way. i saw that a new vanced manager is released. 2.0. i would like to avoid all this procedure. perhaps i am not replying in the correct thread.
But all i ask is if there is a newer dark (or black) magisk module that i can install via magisk and have vanced work like it does now in my phone. i assume that newer version of vanced magisk module will require specific youtube apk so if the module and youtube specific versions are mentioned, it would be awesome. is there a thread where such things are posted? because i searched this thread and didnt find any new version for this.

is there also a vanced magisk module for youtubemusic app, that can be installed in a similar manner?
i am running xiaomi mi note 10 pro (miui 12 with android 10 soon to be 11) which is obviously rooted

Thank you guys

Search this thread harder, because one has been posted. I've posted a link to it multiple times so that should make it easier for you to find.

Magisk Files for 15.43.32

For more background info, and installation / troubleshooting info, see this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83741225&postcount=17198

YouTube 15.43.32 .APKS / YouTube Vanced 15.43.32 Magisk Modules:
YouTube-Vanced-15.43.32-Dark_Magisk.zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675577240
YouTube-Vanced-15.43.32-Black_Magisk.zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675577241
Stock YouTube 15.43.32 APKS (.zip file): https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675577206
(sorry, AFH doesn't allow uploads of .apks files, so I zipped up the stock apks file before uploading)

note: btw the module id tags are the same in each module, so you can easily switch between dark and black by simply flashing the other module and rebooting.

-------------------------------------------------

* For some reason, on my older devices (Nougat), from an existing Magisk install, I can simply install the new APKS, then flash the new module with the new version and reboot, and the app works perfectly. Basically just a simple "upgrade" with all settings intact.

* But then I've noticed on my newer devices (Pie and Q), doing that exact same procedure will cause the app to force close after rebooting, making it necessary to follow the steps I outlined in my previous post that I linked at the top of this post. Not really a huge deal, just annoying and need to redo the settings and preferences. However, it does seem to update properly without issues by simply adding just one additional step before the upgrade - disabling or deleting the old Magisk module first and rebooting, then updating.

So basically, probably the safest steps to update from my previous module versions would be:
- Disable or delete my old Magisk module. REBOOT.
- Install new version APKS via SAI.
- Flash my new version Magisk module. REBOOT.
And like usual, from here you can change between dark and black theme by just flashing the other and rebooting.

I think it may have something to do with the way the newer SDK levels handle split APK installs. I think perhaps having the Magisk module enabled when updating YouTube causes some components to be unable to fully install - but only on newer versions of Android. Ultimately, my older devices can skip the one added step of removing my old Magisk modules before updating, but in either case it wouldn't hurt to go with the steps I outlined above - it's more of a failsafe method that works in both scenarios.
Search this thread harder, because one has been posted. I've posted a link to it multiple times so that should make it easier for you to find.
this is the correct link right my friend? thank you.
is there a similar way for youtube music to become vanced?
thank you again

YouTube Music Magisk Module

Hi, first of all, all credits goes to @i5lee8bit

I made a modified version of his module ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83855303&postcount=17387 ) but for youtube music, I made it for myself but as it work good, I might as well share it

Installation process is the same as the original module:

First, install stock YT music 4.02.51
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...-music-videos-4-02-51-2-android-apk-download/

Then, download and flash the magisk module
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A_W0u4X_k2fMPLsTIE1uQID1rSorW3d4/view?usp=drivesdk

Reboot and enjoy

It work alongside i5lee8bit module too (so youtube vanced and youtube music vanced at the same time)

Tested on my OnePlus 3T android 9 and my OnePlus 7T android 10, I am not responsible to any damage to your phone, I am the only tester and it work good for me.

Once again, all credits goes to @i5lee8bit , a huge thanks to him !
if you go to: https://vancedapp.com

...and install Vanced Manager, you will find Vanced YT Music app is included but need to be installed separately.

Just hit me up if you want me to update the magisk module when it is really needed, it take minutes to do. I can even tell you how if you are interested it do not need any programming skills
