how can I open the links that are in the description of the videos please, because this is the only problem I am having, and without having found a solution.
I have the latest no-root version

What happens when you click the links? This is very likely a default app issue.

I installed Vance manager and downloaded YouTube Vanced which needs to be installed, however , before installing it , I scanned three files which I found in folder /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.vanced.manager/files/vanced/nonroot using total virus

i.e
1 - dark.apk
2 - split_config.armeabi_v7a.apk
3 - split_config.en.apk

And found that file dark.apk contains some kind of virus/malware i.e Android.Android.WIN32.SpyNote.e

So, my question is that YouTube Vanced is safe to install ?

For me the links open in browser or YT (depending on is it a link to page or another YT) - 16.16.38, root

If you are concerned when one out of all the sources VirusTotal uses detects a virus, then I don't think you understand the purpose of using VirusTotal. Also, MaxSecure is considered a very basic and simple anti-malware solution and MaxSecure itself has been reported as containing a virus by other antivirus programs.

It is something to keep a note of. How come the same antivirus engine doesn't flag another build of the same app? Something must have changed in the app, isn't it?

I have seen a particular build of MiXplorer too being flagged by one of the antivirus engines on VirusTotal. Particularly that build. The build before and after came out clean. So something must have changed, isn't it?

That is an issue with YouTube being set as the default app, instead of Vanced. If YouTube is installed, go into App Info for it and set Open supported links to In other app. If you don't have YouTube disabled, try to do that (it should be possible even if not rooted). Vanced should be set up as shown below:

If YouTube is installed, go into App Info for it and set Open supported links to In other app. If you don't have YouTube disabled, try to do that (it should be possible even if not rooted). The in-layout of app is syjced with Google updates. I mean whatever changes google makes to OFFICIAL YOUTUBE APP, the same is reflected in VANCED VERSION too. Google recently replaced The "EXPLORE" TAB with SHORTS tab. Its good for those who want to use the latest layout by google but VANCED can change this thing!!! Afterall Vanced is a Mod-apk, it can get Explore tab from website to sit in the bottom bar.
I have attached screenshots of older ytb version and latest Vanced version with SHORTS tab. See for more details! :-]

Bro i have bone rooted vanced 16.16.38. My brightness goes down to 0% in fullscreen automatically. Idk how to solve it. I just turned off SWIPE controls for brightness.

You seem so convinced that the Vanced team can/wants to change this, you must have some profound insights I'm not aware of. Without even saying the magic word... painful

I'm on the same version as you are and I still see 'Explore'; this means it's regulated server side. Sooo..... #BlameGoogle

Yes, it is based on region updates by GOOGLE. It is not a VANCED feature but rather a Google Feature.

If u r not from India(Asian country) then u will have different ytb version and features.

I am asking to address this issue by VANCED team in my region as Vanced is a MOD APK. And Mod can do things which normal apps can't.

I always get an error after installation.
And it installs only the stock youtube (non-vanced).

Where i can download vanced APKS root version ?

Are you sure that stock YT was removed before initiating Vanced install? If not, it's best to clear any traces of both stock and Vanced to ensure a clean installation. Also, root version doesn't need MicroG but you may have installed that for other purposes of course.

But swipe controls is a must, that is the best advantage of this vanced app
