[APP] Moto X Camera (APK)

Saw this link earlier if anybody is interested in trying out the new "minimalist" camera for the Moto X. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm just assuming it will work with the M.

EDIT: Having trouble getting it to install, so if anybody is able to install it successfully, please post what you did.

Once I hit install and accept permissions I just get a "Not Installed" notification.

The instructions said to freeze your existing camera. I didn't need to with Illusion, but maybe you do with your AOKP install.

Installed just fine with PacMan rom and got 3 Camera apk. Haha! Work great! Only thing I'm unsure if it's focus property because I usually tap the screen to focus then take a picture with power button. But this one will take a picture if you tap.

Agreed. I do like how when you rotate, it only rotates the buttons instead of the whole application (one of the features in 4.3)

I like it, but I need to use it a bit more to give a real review or opinion. Nice with the KLP theme I'm using with Illusion.

If I can get it to install eventually I'll give it a shot. I don't know if this would help, but if somebody could make a backup of it in Titanium and send it to me, maybe I can "restore" that way.

Make a backup of your gallery with TB and than uninstall it. Than try to install the camera. That should work

Make a backup of your gallery with TB and than uninstall it. Than try to install the camera. That should work

if anyone has a problem with installing this app. please feel free to visit this thread:

So I edit package.xml, cleared dalvik cache and signed the apps MotoXcamWB84.apk and MotoXgalWB84.apk...
Now it works on my rooted device... toolbox was adb, tickle my android and rootbrowser... I deleted this files, too:

adb shell su -c rm /system/app/MotCamera.apk
adb shell su -c rm /system/app/MotCamera.odex
adb shell su -c rm /system/app/MotGallery2.apk
adb shell su -c rm /system/app/MotGallery2.odex

dunno if u have to...
