Hello Friends,

Just would like to share this app to easily enable a mod - MultiWindow Plus. Well, the mod could be done manually but it is a lot easier for typical users to use an app to enable the mod or to disable it with a simple click whenever you feel like it. You could download it below or if you feel happy about the app and the mod that it enables then it would help me in further development if you could get it in the PLAY STORE. Otherwise, a simple THANK YOU is enough. :)

=== DOWNLOAD ===
Download Free Version below (at the end of post)
or
Get Donate Version from the Play Store.

Both versions are the same at the moment, but maybe I will add Multi-Instance feature (launch same app multiple times) and ability to set default Floating Window size to the Donate version in the future.

*************************** REQUIRES ROOT *************************
** IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ROOT IS, GOOGLE IT FIRST! **
** THIS APP WON'T WORK IF YOUR DEVICE ISN'T ROOTED **
** PLEASE CHECK COMPATIBLE DEVICES BELOW **
***************************************************************************

=== COMPATIBLE DEVICES ===
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (with Stock ROM)
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) (with Stock ROM)

MULTIWINDOW PLUS enables a HIDDEN feature in your device (please check compatible devices above) that adds more functionality to the multiwindow sidebar. At the moment, Samsung multiwindow feature only allows dual view. This app or mod so to speak adds floating, docking and quad view features on the multiwindow tray. I discovered said features while poking into the framework files and have asked some friends to test and it seems to be working.

=== DISCLAIMER ===
This app only enables the hidden feature and has nothing to do with how the said features work. There may be graphical issues or stability issues and that is why Samsung has disabled them in the production version. It also does not guarantee that it will work on your device or ROM due to various reasons. And if it works at the current firmware version, there is no guarantee that it will work on future firmware updates. Please TAKE NOTE of these issues before you proceed.

=== UNINSTALLING APP ===
Please switch OFF or disable the feature within the app before uninstalling the app to restore your device to its original state.

=== CREDITS ===
@and2 and @mscion for testing and giving feedback.

Works great as most of your stuff does. Its just like launching pen window from The Multi Window BAR or having The 4 window feature from The Tab 10.1 but you CAN do Them both. You my man have made great Tributes To The Note Community. Especially with all the multi windows mods and xposed modules. You deserve a f'n Medal. But anyway I haven't heard from you in a while, how have you been my friend

Using it on Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) the 4-window don’t work. What ever I choose it work only in dockable mod no 4-window mod.

Could you give me a copy of your deodexed FlashBarService.apk, framework2.jar, services.jar and android.policy.jar. I'll try and see what is different.

Just curious, how do you open apps from multiwindow? Do you just click or just drag? Maybe try dragging to different corners.

Want to ask. So far I know u releasing 3 application for multiwindow.

Does it work for odex version as well?

Because I have using pen window manager and now cannot use the pen manager at all.

Will it have conflict if I use this app?

Yes, I think it would work with both odex/deodex version as long as it is rooted. And NO, this app won't conflict with any of my other apps. In fact it complements them.

So are you on odex rom? Could you pass me a copy of your others.xml/feature.xml file and I'll have to check why you can't get pen manager to work. You could also try getting a deodex copy of FlashBarService.apk (choose the right version for your firmware) . Make a backup of the original FlashBarService.apk & FlashBarService.odex and make sure you delete both. Then copy over the deodex FlashBarService.apk and set its file permission to 644 and reboot.

    It seems the mod no longer fully work on Kitkat. Dockable and floating window options are gone although there is still the quadview feature as reported by some users. With just quadview, you're still luckier than I am. I haven't even tried those features yet on my phone and I don't know how they are like. I have a brand new phone and with all those knox/bootloader issues going on, I am still hesitant to root it. For a poor guy like me, messing with an expensive device takes a lot of careful thought and planning and great hesitation and a GREAT effort to fight the addiction/obsession of rooting/modding/tinkering. I am not sure how long I can fight it but I will try my best. But nevertheles, the missing options like dockable and floating window can still be possible with some system mods and perhaps XPOSED module and in fact with Kitkat there seems to be more multiwindow options in addition to dockable, floating, quadview plus dot dot dot. I leave that some other time until I get somebody to test it first. I think samsung has a lot going on when it comes to the multiwindow feature. They are just releasing them like baby steps to whatever reason. Wish samsung would make it easy for us to have these features without having to go deep into smali code to discover them. Touchwiz is like an ocean of smali code and it is difficult to spot hidden features and now with this knox thing, it has become even more difficult. I hope devs won't drown in that ocean of smali code and APKTOOL_DUMMY resources and leave for AOSP. Anyway, thanks for listening and for your understanding and support. Keep XDA-ing!

    A dumb man can add files. A smart man creates an app that does it for him and countless other.
    Thanks for making it easy!

    I am exploring support for S4 and maybe the new Tab Pro tablets. It depends, samsung has lately been busy disabling those hidden features so I am not sure if it is possible.

    Coorect. This mod simply create couple files inside /system/etc/permissions folder. Purpose of this APK is just obfuscate this and give more credit to OP ;)

    Really, do you think so? I am sure this app is for sharing his finding and make it possible for a lot of people without the knowledge to do it by his own. Yes, this app "simply" creates couple files in the permission folder - but you have to know which one. Could you find this codes without the phone?
    I am just thankfull for his charing.
    Let´s wait til xperiacle has rooted Kitkat on his new (expensive) Note 3...just my take on this

    any chance of installing and using it without root?

    Sorry, no because you have to write in the system partition.
