I tried to install the apk from @aiemassfiria in his original thread (https://xdaforums.com/android/apps-games/netflix-hd-ultrahd-ultrahd-dolby-5-1-l1-t3535349) but it doesn't work on my Mi projector. So I modded the apk myself (this only apply for Widevine L1 device

Changes log:
- v0.3: Enable HDR

- v0.2: Patch new version (netflix v4.16.3 - HD)

If you want to patch yourself, here is the guide:

Make sure you have `patch` installed (built-in in macOS, Linux. Not sure about Windows)

Basically, find and replace all isDeviceHd(), isWidevineL1Enabled() etc. to true.

Huawei MediaPad M3 using the apk, can't get more than 480p Streaming... I can see HD next to the media just doesn't play at 1080p. using the test pattern on Netflix.

I just ended buying the Xiaomi TV Box.... all that time wasted not worth it but I wish I could use it on my Tablet, maybe I'll run Netflix through the Broswer to get at least 720p.

Is there anyway to force this app to use HD despite the connection it detects? When i use my normal connection, the HD kicks in without issue but when i switch to a VPN, the quality drops to SD.

I searched a long time to get Netflix working again with widevine L1 on my rooted Samsung S9+.
Like every other patch I could find, this App also does not work.

Howewer, I now have discovered a way to get Netflix L1.
With this tutorial:

I got back Netflix in the PlayStore and have widevine L1 again.

hey guys may be someone can help me.
I have a Android TV BOX but is from a tv cable company.
this box use android 9 with widevine L1. The company told me "the only app you cant install is netflix"
It is not in playstore so I decided to download it outside of playstore. When I install it, everything is fine, but when I run it, an error comes out and it closes. According to the cable company, since it does not have the Netflix button on the remote control, it cannot be used... anyway, does anyone have a possible solution? Thank you

Hi, I'm completely lost. I have a Tablet Lenovo YOGA Smart Tab 25 and I can't see Netflix or Prime video in HD resolution but only in SD.
I have no clue idea what to do, someone could suggest the right steps?
