Just keep trying it, that seems to be a bug with Netflix on our Xooms but the keyboard will come up if you just keep trying...Same for me
cancelled my netfux account during free trial. I was really unhappy with the quality even on my HDTV's and the selection of movies stunk, plus the one main reason no new releases !
Same here sadly. And I have an officially supported device too, the T-Mobile G2, it loads up my Netfix Canada account just fine, but pops this error when I try to play anything including shows I've already started, then stopped watching on other officially supported devices.
This device cannot instantly stream from Netflix in your area. Visit

from Netflix.
Oddly enough my Netgear NTV250 (Roku) STB works fine and it's a USA device and is not officially supported by Netflix Canada. One day about 6-8 months ago after a firmware upgrade it just started working fine. When I hit Canadian licensed content, it would play, when I hit USA licensed content it wouldn't.
I called Netflix Canada and asked about this yesterday and they basically parroted the line that the Android App for Canada is not ready yet and they'll let all their customers know through the usual channels when it is.

Does the latest update still send the crappy low-quality stream of the previous version? I can deal with it on my phone, but not on my tablet, it looks like complete garbage with the increased screen size and resolution.
EDIT: I haven't tried, of course, since my trial lapsed, but if the quality would be increased, then I would potentially return.

give it like a min to balance out, the quality gets better. i was quite disappointed at 1st and was like. wtf, its unwatchable in full screen!. then it gets sharper within 30 secs into play.
I am not sure why a few are angry about the quality of Netflix. It has always ran in HD for me on the xoom. My younger kids really like it and use it on Xbox with the same results. I am very pleased and at $8.36 with tax it is the cheapest form of entertainment for us.
One of the things Netflix fixed in version 1.4 is it is available for all Android phones. There wasn't much other than they did get optomize it a bit.

Netflix 1.4.1
Looks like version 1.4.1 was released today. Can anyone download it from the Market? My version 1.4 keeps saying there is an update available and takes me to the Market to download it but it won't download.

It doesn't even show-up for me in the market. Can anyone post the apk?
I was able to install with no errors. But I am still unable to play anything due to location which I understand cause hulu isn't allowed here neither. I'm a soldier stationed in Kuwait and this is what I got....
Shame really but for development purposes I was able to install on 3g xoom rooted with tiamat 2.2!

I just got it uploaded and will change the link on the first post. I had to wait until my lunch break because I was busy at work this morning
I wonder if it is because your internet connection is in Kuwait. Just off the top of my head it looks like it not only checks the devices location and the internet connection location in this case the 3G. If I was God (I am not) I would definitely make it work you so that you guys (Soldiers over seas!) could have all the comforts of home.
apk works fine for me in canada on my rooted SGS II, no lag or anything!

Yeah works fine on my rooted Bell Desire Z (2.3.3 on Fido) but not on my unrooted TMobile G2 (2.3.4 on Mobilicity)
By works fine, I mean it plays the movies on the DZ but gives an error about updating the software on my phone on the G2. In both cases they access my Canadian Netflix account without issue. In the former case I used market enabler to install it but in the latter case downloaded the apk from the net.

Use proxydroid and open up Netflix and then it'll be unlocked for use without us proxy
