I swear I tried to find the answer between around noon yesterday and this morning. My Google-Fu has failed me. Last resort, always, is to post in the actual thread :crying:
I have Nexus 6 6.0.1 MMB29Q, rooted by WugFresh, have Stericson BusyBox Free, stock rom, stock kernel. Seems like a complete root to me. All my root apps work without question.
When I get to the step 5. as above, I don't get this question of driver modes. It asks me to install the driver, I say yes, and it says to reboot. So that's already broken, in my mind. When I reboot the app doesn't do anything. When I go in to look at the driver status in the menu I have:
- Driver Version: 0.0.0.0
- NEON Enabled: No
- Enabled: No
- Status: Abnormal
- Audio Format: Unsupported
- Processing: No
- Sampling Rate: 0
No amount of turning on settings does anything to the app. Also, the instructions ask for you to alter Sound Settings > Music effects:
This setting is gone and it looks like it's supposed to be done through Google Play Music. I can disable the EQ in there but it doesn't have any effect either. I do not have a MusicFX app in All Apps to disable either. Again, none of the settings mentioned do anything to the app. Neither Normal Mode, Compatibility Mode, nor Force-Enable settings have any effect.
I even gave it a go with SELinux Permissive Mode. No change. What am I doing wrong? Are there instructions suited specifically for the Nexus 6 ~MMB29Q and/or devices without MusicFX? Should I try uninstalling Google Play Music?
