The feature of uploading to Evernote was fantastic--however, when i view the document in evernote on the tab, its blue print on a black background--how this happened, I have no idea. On my computer, in evernote, it looks fine, blue on white. Ideas?

I'm still alive, don't worry ;-)

There is a bug with occasional corruption of the exported bitmap if no background is set, I'll push an updated version to the market over the weekend.

Since the root is on its way, is it possible for you to disable touch input completely (Pen Only) to have better experience with your device ?

Volker,
I really want to thank you for this app. It's been very helpful. I would like to suggest 2 features but since I don't now anything about coding, I don't now if they are simple or not to implement.
1 - Allow to import (or open) pictures and PDF files so we can annotate on them. This would make taking classes and/or attending meetings a lot easier.
2 - Allow to attach an audio recording (this one might be a little of a stretch).

Thanks for your attention.

Ok, so here is my wishlist:

I know nothing about this, but given that this is just vector graphics, is there any way you could create a minimalist PDF reader using the Quill setup over existing pdfs (and then save with separate layer rather than flattening)? Or even a word/ppt reader? In an ideal you would be able to have a pdf/powerpoint slide pushed to the left side of the screen, and the right side would have an area to write notes (though of course you could write anywhere). being able voice record and calendar link (like the HTC Notes app) would also be great, but are less essential.

Also - any way you could create a sub option when using N-trig stylus that allows 2 finger pinch at all times, so you dont have to switch to zoom mode? It would also be useful to have an indicator in the corner of the screen while zooming to tell you what % zoom you are at.

Another request would be to create a pen size between Thin and Medium please.

Finally - is there a way of making a bigger canvas, or allowing zooming in further. I ask because I like to draw big infographs, getting more detailed as you focus in on the items. It would also be useful in this case to have an option to scale the width of the pen with your zooming, so that as you zoom in you can write with the same thickness, but then when you zoom out again it is actually smaller.
Cheers
Cam

Edit:
The ability to lasso and move items around/resize would also be useful

This is possible without root.

@Volker1 Great app! Thank you very much.
I was about to start my own note-taking app in March, but Quill is just awesome. Will you need help developing?

I'm from the HTC Flyer forum (where Quill is also developed), and I had the same idea, but perhaps on a more elementary level: it would be really useful to have two workspaces or a split screen format, where we can have two distinct pages of the same notebook displayed. I often flip back and forth when creating notes, and this would be a huge feature.

Pretty sure it has more to to with other people's abilities to use their tablets. Nevermind.
Well, (again coming from the HTC Flyer), I also think that a pen-only mode would be useful. My wrist often hits either the hardware buttons of the flyer or the lower taskbar. There are root-access programs which can turn off hardware buttons (but not on the fly) and also turn off the taskbar, but in my opinion, these are unwieldly.

So here is another recommendation for a pen-only mode in Quill.

Your problem has nothing to do with Quill. A pen-only mode within the app can be done without rooting.

If you want to have pen-only for the whole system, you should ask elsewhere (and no, I don't see the point).

AFAIK This is Volker1's topic . no one asking from you .
So please be quiet and let Volker1 answer . His answer is much appreciated, no matter is negative or positive .

scroll/pan

Is it possible to pan/scroll while zoomed in without activating the zoom mode, that is I don't want to change from my pen to zoom but still be able to move the page.

Once root is out I'll have a good look at the available apps that can hide the bottom status bar; if necessary I'll certainly re-implement it.

@Theaxer: You can use the two-finger-scroll gesture. Make sure that the fingers are more than half of the screen size apart.

Well at least on the transformer prime two finger scroll does not work. The setting is greyed out, is this not supposed to work on the prime?

Grad Engineering student here and i'm on the HTC Flyer, been using HTC Notes for all of last semester and it has been lacking some key features for me.

I heard all the big hype of Quill and just tried V8.3

The only thing stopping me from using this over HTC Notes is that their is no Audio Recording. It's a HUGGGEEE no-no from me, i like to record the lecture while taking down notes. To me it seems like it should be a relatively simple integration.

The other thing stopping me, although not as big, is the fact that the erase button on the HTC pen is not functional. It's so much easier to click the little button to erase rather than having to tap on a new area on the screen. Again, seems like a relatively small change

If these changes can be made I think your software will clearly have the dominate upper hand compared to any other software out there - yes including HTC's as well.

PLEASE PLEASE try to integrate these as soon as possible :) thanks
