This is almost the best applications for Android tablet, I put here the list of features that will put this as the best ever app

- Image import
- PDF import
- sound recording
- use camera
- integration / Export to MS OneNote

If you're able to implementation these, I'm the first to be willing to pay much more money than I've already paid.

Congratulations for the great Job!

Eraser

If you could implement using one finger to erase that would be awesome.

An app called papyrus has this and it works really well when one is sitting in a lecture for example and needs to write fast. it saves so much time compared with having to press a button first.

Copy and Paste feature please!?

Doing a physics degree I find myself writing down the same equations over and over again and one of the features i really hoped this app would have is the ability to lasoo select/box select, copy and paste. I don't know how the developer feels about this addition but I feel it would make this app one of the best stylus apps out for uni students.

If i see an update with this I will so happy.

Thanks for listening

That really would be very useful. Even a rectangular selection would be useful, just in case that's easier to program in.

I hope it will be useful.

I absolutely agree. I'm in an engineering degree and you constantly find yourself writing the entire thing with possibly small/slight modifications, a copy-paste with the possibility of editing that pasted object would really set this product apart.

the deal breaker for me is that I can't record any audio. Integrating a simple audio recorder I think makes this one of the most complete note taking apps out there.

I've used it a few times and its really polished, i just like the option to add in my audio records for later.

thanks a bunch though, i frequently like to look to see where your progress of this program is.

First of all, thank you so much for this wonderful app. It is definitely the most used app on my TPT. A few things that I would love to see in the future release would be:

(1) page designs for landscape full screen. Or double finger vertical scroll with horizontal scroll locked. This will make the app more usable in landscape mode.

(2) a top toolbar with icons only. shallower or customizable menu. Currently, many of the settings are consolidated in a single setting menu. To change the background, for example, needs a few clicks. Since we have stylus precise pointing, it probably won't hurt to have smaller and more icons in the toolbar.

(3) night mode, dark theme or invert video color option.

(4) support user defined paper, in pdf format or jpg format.

Many thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks for this great app! I downloaded the paid version from the Market. I am using it with my Galaxy Note 10.1 and I love it!

Here is my wishlist:
1) Lasso copy/paste (like others mentioned)
2) Add more drawing shapes
3) I find the use of the back button a little bit awkward. Some reviewers on the Market have some suggestions regarding this.

Thanks again, and keep working on it!

Quill 10.1 has become my no.1 illustration app . The suggestion above ( lasso copy paste) and markers are all i wish for.
Thanks Volker!

Did this on my galaxy note 10.1. With Quill 10.1 and freenote( because of the marker option)
No more paper for me

Thanks!

After looking at the official site, and then reading this whole thread, is it safe to consider this the 'official feature request' thread?

I love this app, thank you so much. Here's my feature requests:
-Different paper colors (having dark/warm paper colors could make it easier on the eyes when drawing/jotting in the dark).
-Scroll buttons around the view edge when zoomed in. Or perhaps an 'overview' area when zoomed in (kinda like AntipaperNotes has).

That's it. Oh, and maybe a donate page on the intarwebz so I can give you more money.

Hi Volker thanks for your amazing app.

I'm using it since almost one year. Here are my suggestions :

1) Can we use custom background image jpg png or palin colots lilr black.shades of gray ?
2) I enjoyed lecturesnotes colorwhell a lot, now we're stuck here with16 predefined colors ... I guess this will be that easy for you to implement a quick color switcher.
3) pass protected notes and fast switcher like lecturenotes.
4) I've noticed on my tpt that your app has the better response when my stylus goes laggy or stoppy :
my stylus does sometimes remain undetected by any other app but your one still does when I press the button
( congrats you did better than lenovo )
5) Memory usage .. somehow split the notepad into $n files, to charge only one page at once ?

6) I support the idea for choosing a default custom folder for dropbox or sugarsync usage
7) Please post us a paypal link because we wanna support your developpement on this wonderful app ;)

Regards

Fantastic app Volker.

I would just like to reiterate what a few others have requested and that is PDF annotation. I currently use ezPDF for taking notes in lecture on the provided skeletal notes from professors. And it is pretty terrible. If this app had annotation on PDF it would be incredible!

Hi Volker, if you could combine this app with Freenote, this would be absolutely perfect!

With my HTC Flyer I'm only using Freenote, because there is no other app that comes near the perfect handwriting experience in my opinion. I make a lot of notes durings meetings, and then upload the note to my Evernote account.

There are two things that really makes it worth:
1: the writing itself, which is briljant
2: the 'quality of the upload in freenote, which autosizes and really looks good in the Evernote note.

Of course Freenote doesn't have all the nice features of this app. If you could somehow integrate that way of writing, en putting that written part between the lines, I will only use this app. Please consider!

Great software at all.. It replaces the Samsung SNote completely for me, the quality is perfect and
Think it's the only app with vector graphics support.
There are two features I miss :
1. Export to SVG
2. Samsung floating window support (I think this is only a simple flag in the xml)

I love it and use it every day :)

Using "Notebooks"

I've been looking for a good note taking app for my Gnote 10.1. The reason is that there is a feature that I really really want and I would like to know if this application supports it.

In OneNote, I can open a, for lack of a formal name, call it a "library" of notebooks. A directory I open, close and save in OneNote, the same way you open close and save files in Windows. You can then move this directory around as a unit. To me it's very important as I want to keep distinct libraries seperate and crry them around on SD cards ( and backup to my desktop ).

PS:
I was also wondering if there is a Linux version of Quill Desktop?

Hi everybody

first of all: Quill is perfect for me!
Yesterday I bought a Galaxy Note 10.1. I've tested several notetaking apps, but Quill is the most intuitive and easiest for me.
Good work, congrats and thanks a lot!

One small problem do I have:
I wish to screencast (video recording) my handwriting.
In Samsung S Note it works fine, but neither in Quill nor in Lecture Notes the handwriting process is recorded.
I use Media Solutions Screencast Video recorder.

Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

Thanks a lot!

Daniel
