[App] Quill - handwritten notes

great App I really liked it, and most importantly its open source I'm not myself an Android Developer, but I've been looking for a good opesource alternative for my Note II device, it just works amazingly and it works on linux too with the python desktop companion

now one thing I'm wondering about..
can it have an unlimited paper width ? .. I see I can write outside the paper if I reached a paper's border, however in payprus for example I could just go to the end of the paper and voila, the paper would extend with me I find this feature purticularily very useful because I'm writing on 5.5 phone not a 9 inch tab

also I wanted to know where would my notes go if I created a sync account ?

I was also wondering if there is a Linux version of Quill Desktop?

It's a python script frozen as exe.
You can easily run the appropriate python file to run it on linux/mac

Desktop viewer not working for 10.6 version quill

It seems the desktop viewer doesn't work for the latest quill. It couldn't open .quill file. the viewer works fine for 10.5 version Quill.

Help! Need to recover notebook!

I have a valuable notebook on my HTC flyer. The HTC flyer won't let me unlock the device. I do have a CWM backup of the device, which I have transferred to my computer. It shows several .img files, but when I try to open them using my Win XP machine, my .img file handler (7-zip) reports that the files are broken.

I can also access via adb commands, but am not sure where to go with these. Not sure where the files I need are on the device. So far browsing the file structure has not been very successful.

Any help would be most appreciated!

Another feature request, possibly as silly as the others (just imagine all the features in your app )

Notebook name at the top of the page would be very useful. Or under the red dot if you like.

And another feature request. Disable soft keys. On my Galaxy Note 8 I frequently hit the return button and I'm zoomed out into the overview mode. Not a big deal but since I'm rooted anyway that would be a nice to have feature.

and another one. What about PDF editing as in open a PDF and then allow free form commenting in it via pen?

I could not find option to create folders to put notebooks inside. I can create notebooks and tag them but it's not what I need. Is there any other way or nobody really needs it except me?

I loved this on my HTC Flyer, when that broke down I switched to a tegra Note 7. While the tablet is amazing, Quill doesn't play very nice on it. The pen isn't detected as a pen (even though the tablet recognises it) and randomly the eraser tool stops working. I hope this can be fixed, I'd hate to leave Quill for a lesser program.

Is anyone using Quill with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 with success? I tried installing it on mine today (tried both the .apk version and the Playstore version). Either way, I get a "Quill has stopped message" as soon as I start the app. I tried starting it with the pen draw or not, and got the same result.

My tablet is not rooted, but is running Nova Prime launcher. As far as I can see I'm running the latest Samsung version of Kitkat.

This is a known problem with some Samsung devices.

It is not just you or your advice. I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 (N8013), and had the same problem.

My only solution was to downgrade the ROM to Android 4.1.2 (Hyperdrive). I spent too many hours trying newer ROMs without success. If you aren't able, or unwilling, to flash a new ROM, you may be out of luck. Papyrus seems to be a good, but not-perfect, alternative.
