hey dudes can any one make an app for windows xp/7 or wp7.5 through we can back up personal informations, messages and contacts( it will be top priority) , its a very urgent one, after a long search i cant find one any where( if one is available pls help me to get it), what i found is windows phone device manager which never worked for me. all i want is to export/ import .vcf(contacts) files from/ to phone( via usb or bluetooth). it a realy bad thing that even wmdc 6.1 wont support wp7.5 devices. so you may get how important it will be. so seriously any one will do it for xda members and all wp7 device owners.

There is a custom tool that can do that. However it will backup the whole phone not parts of it. Find the tools details here

In case you dont get it through, Ping me. I have written a post using that thread which is bit simple but I will not drop the link right now.

I have made it work using Windows 7, Zune 4.8 and that custom tool.

but r you sure it will work on xboxmod rom based on mango 7720.68? and i think it is not that what we want, its a complete backup tool, right? so what happens if we update the rom( AT PRESENT ITS OK, AND DONE WITH MANGO, BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A ROM UPDATE OCCURS?) , WONT THE TOOL WILL REPLACE THE OLD ROM FILES? so is it applicable? we need a backup tool for personal datas.

It will replace with whatever is backed up. So if you have ROM V1 and made a backup and the upgraded to ROM V2 and if you restore using that tool, you will get back to ROMV1 and whatever was inside.

dude i said about adding new options?features to the current app, and not riping apart the back up to different items, ie in contact backup, your will get a file .Vcf, and nothing else, so that its a vcard file which includes contacts inside the phone. and another one to restore too.. you get it?

There is no tool officially that will do that. I will try to look into options though.
