Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. The tsk is a modified version of one of the default WM 6.5 themes (Rock and Republic black to be exact). :)
tsk files are basically cab files with the theme images and registry settings in it. So I guess it would already have them in it. Are there multiple tsk files in your ROM?

Hi, i have a german ROM on my HD2.

In german roms there are the following folders:

\Windows\Startmenü
\Windows\Startmenü\Programme

In wwe-roms these folders are called:

\windows\start menu\programs

How can i write the german names with "ü" in it. If i load the .xml-file in IE8, i get an error because of the "ü".

If i use %CE11% (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs) will it copy my files into the german called folder or into the folder with the wwe-name?

I am not concerned about settings. I only want to have my cabs installed. I have put the cabs of the apps, not requiring user intervention during their set up, in storage card\XDA_UC while the cabs of the apps, mandating user intervention during their set up, in storage card\XDA_UC\SD

I tried without SDconfig.txt & it did not do anything, only the standard ROM customization. I have then hard reset & added the attached SDconfig.txt to the storage card. It then installed the cabs in storage card\XDA_UC & neglected the cabs in storage card\XDA_UC\SD

Also I believe that UC has installed the apps to the device memory & not the SD.

Anyone can help ?

Internet Connetion Settings via UC?

Hi,
I have UC set up for installing my cab files, and set some of my settings like backlight, user information, notification,...

One thing I can not manage is the set up of my internet connection.

In fact, after flash, my rom does an auto set up for my provider (Softbank Japan).
Unfortunately the auto set up is setting an access point, username and password, which would cause me very hight cost, as it is not utilising the flatrate I subscribed for with Softbank.

I would like to keep the name of the connection which is created by auto set up (the conenction is simply called "Softbank") but I would like to change the access point, user name and password for that connection.

Anyone knows how to put that into a xml file?

I know, UC runs before the provider auto set up.
In fact I am using Sashimi, which I run manually after first boot.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Hi, i have a german ROM on my HD2.

In german roms there are the following folders:

\Windows\Startmenü
\Windows\Startmenü\Programme

In wwe-roms these folders are called:

\windows\start menu
\windows\start menu\programs

How can i write the german names with "ü" in it. If i load the .xml-file in IE8, i get an error because of the "ü".

If i use %CE11% (\Windows\Start Menu\Programs) will it copy my files into the german called folder or into the folder with the wwe-name?

you could try this table http://biega.com/special-char.html

so the
Code:
&#252
would be ü.

But you can check yourself (like proposed at the beginning of the thread). Build a cab-file with cabarc.exe eg and try to execute this. Like this:

named _setup.xml and then cabarc n test.cab _setup.xml
Code:
<!--Create "Simpleconnect" shortcut from mcsr on storage card and copy it into Startup folder-->

<characteristic type="%CE2%\test" translation="install">
<characteristic type="MakeDir" />

<characteristic type="Simpleconnect.lnk" translation="install">
<characteristic type="Shortcut">
<parm name="Source" value="\Speicherkarte\Mort\Simpleconnect.mscr" translation="install"/>
</characteristic>
</characteristic>

</characteristic>

Unfortunately I don't have an UC capable ROM but I will :)
I find this mechanism very useful and thrilling.

Do you mean you have a ROM on your phone that does not have UC of any form built into it and you want to have your own automated UC?

Sashimi is one I have seen, but never used. There are a couple others I think.

You could write a Mortscript to do the work for you.

Has anyone figured out where the Facebook/Twitter/Youtube etc. settings are? Or passwords for other installed programs for that matter? It would be extremely nice to be able to export these to a cab rather than having to type them in manually.

I could find out myself, but I can't seem to find a registry program that will let me do a before and after comparison. If someone knows of a registry program that does this, please let me know. I seem to remember people talking about one awhile back but can't for the life of me find it...

yes... there is somewhere arround here something in the registry but it is not working...

my opinion is that we need some xml provisioning... with the registry it is not enough...

Dont know all but at least on the .tsk you have:

TSK: \windows\Condor GT Black Edition.tsk

and it should be like this:
"TSK: \windows\CondorGTBlackEdition.tsk" (no space between words)
edit it, rename it that way. It will work

and for the rest try to rename your folder from "xDA_UC" to "XDA_UC"
aee if that works
