Thanks for the help, but I downgraded SuperSU to 2.65 and still have the same problem.

App's 3.2(latest) version working on both superSu v2.65 and v2.68(not on v2.72+)--checked on both

One need to flash superSu.zip through recovery

Installing superSu.apk won't help

Is there any workaround for permissive mode without installing this application? I don't want to mess up with my application drawer
You can set the SELinux to Permissive temporarily by running the 2 commands below in Terminal emulator:

su
setenforce 0

But if you do this above, SELinux status will be back to default value after a phone reboot. So, if you want to keep permissive SELinux after each phone reboot, you'll need to add a script (/etc/init.d) and for this, you need busybox & init.d support. Please use XDA search to find the appropriate threads about this.

BTW, if SELinuxModeChanger app works on your phone and is useful for you, I don't see the point not using it (besides your weird comment "don't want to mess up with my application drawer") ...

So if that's all the app is doing we could basically have a macro run after boot to execute these commands?

is there something I can do to get rid of the Dangerous App notification ?

on an AT&T LG G4 H810 10o
You should activate to block the Notifaction Message for the Google Play Service/Store? App and after enable the Notification Message again.
The Message should for a few days away
I've been using this app for a while now on several devices including my Z2 (D6503) which had it installed for over 6 months. Then a few days ago I got this pop-up.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
I want to share how I get rid of the Google Play Store warning.
You simply remove the link to Play Store to know you have the app installed.

The .apk is rebuilt with Lucky Patcher. The file can be downloaded below in Attached files.

To rebuild apk file:

  1. Look at the Tab bar at the bottom of the screen
  2. Click: Rebuild & Install
  3. "select apk file"
  4. Rebuild
  5. APK without License Verification
  6. Deselect "auto mode"
  7. Select "Remove dependencies"
  8. Rebuild.

The rebuilt file can now be found in
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.android.vending.billing.InAppBillingService.LACK/files/LuckyPatcher/Modified/"your app"/"file".apk

You can apply this to any common .apk file. If for example your intention is to make the app a static version with no updates or Play Store warning.
Like ES File explorer older version before it became a malware app.
Or Swiftkey keyboard version before Microsoft took over the steering wheel.

Thanks, this APK version worked on my OnePlus 3.

I tried to use it on my Honor 7 with root and SuperSu 2.74. After rebooting, the selinux status is "enforcing"
I’m able to change it to "permissive", but after the next reboot it is gone!
