I have a feature request.
With DOH support coming and hosts file for rooted and local VPN for unrooted already supported there is yet another way, using Samsung Knox for unrooted Samsung devices.
Disconnect Pro in the Galaxy Store does this method.
This is better than local VPN for unrooted Samsung devices.

Just my take on this. It's likely that to access knox you need to have a valid security key for the API. AdAway is open source. Samsung would frown on the api being shown in the source. AdAway would be forced to close part of their source. This would probably mean it could no longer be available in fdroid. This would make users sad.
This is only my opinion and might be very wrong.

Open Redirect button, take +, and for Hostname put Instagram.com (maybe better *Instagram.com) and under address put the address of Wikipedia.org (use DNS lookup, should be like 91.198.174.192).
Add, Apply and reboot

First of all - have you successfully configured and used AdAway BEFORE this redirection?

Eg, on new devices System is read-only and you must enable Systemless hosts in Magisk (and reboot - I'm talking about root/hosts mode)

Otherwise I don't see a reason why AdAwaywould inot be abke to apply the configuration

Suppose you redirect instagram.com to 172.217.20.164 (that is, to Google)

Now sites and browsers force https, they no more want to use http

Hence, when you would try to open
https://www.instagram.com, you will be redirected to https://172.217.20.164

But from there, it will obtain Google's certificate instead of the expected Instagram certificate, and browser would complain that security was broken and would not want to connect to the redirected Google's https site

I fixed the error. For some reason magisk was uninstalled and twrp was gone on my phone. I don't get the error now but the redirection doesn't work either. So you're saying there's no other way to redirect websites?
