You cannot get into Recovery to Flash the zip. The error message is an indication that the phone has not been Rooted correctly.

Hi there!

I have a Desire Z and the ROM from rmk40 Virtuous 1.0.1 on it!
Yesterday a update my superuser app and now everytime i start superuser the app chrashes...
I can't give any programms superuserrights...

Now i tried the Version here 2.3.6.1 and it works for ONE TIME...then the app chrashed...

Anyone an idea?

Hi,

Do you have any plans on pushing an update that uses the su binary from the launcher-dev branch? I just went through NDK hell in order to compile a binary from that branch because the su in the launcher [-standard] branch would not work for me at all, displaying "link_image[2033]: failed to link su" each time.

I just installed Gingerbread 2.3.3 on my Galaxy S device and installed the latest version of Superuser (v2.3.6.1) from market. The app is constantly crashing and FCs everytime.

Kernel version is 2.6.35.7-I9000DDJV6-CL198883 [email protected] #2

Please suggest any solution. Thanks.

Considering that's a beta of the Elite (paid for) version, you should probably take that down.

Update won't install

For whatever reason, I am unable to install the update from the market for SU . . . the "fix" update installed fine, but the latest SU keeps failing for "not properly signed" reasons . . . neither of my Evo's can update . . running GB OTA rooted . . .

EDIT: Removed SU via adb and latest market SU 2.3.6.3 installed fine afterwards . . .

Considering that's a beta of the Elite (paid for) version, you should probably take that down.

The author is just fine with leaking that link. (And yeah you need the license for the extra features.)

Warning for people messing with the 3.0 betas. You'd better skip the new beta2, it self-destructs on reboot, after that you only get FCs until you downgrade. (Also, the configuration is gone after this.)

Also produces an annoying false positive warning about malicious AdFree (from market).

Well I can only go on what I'm experiencing, and it doesn't FC after a reboot.
