Checked the performance of your build via Vellamo browser benchmark (developed by Qualcomm, available via Play store) on my CM12 build + AK kernel + f2fs + some other minor tweaks configuration.
Chrome (and Chrome beta) scores about 4200 - 4300 points. Other browsers so far couldn't reach 4000 pts.
SWE browser scored over 4600.
Snappy!
Also it runs perfect on my other device, snapdragon 800 based Samsung 12 inch tablet. Fastest browser evere there, too.

It is like 10GB download and it takes a decent amount of time to download and compile. They don't make it that easy.
Basically this is an optimized browser made for the snapdragon processor. I have been running it for a few weeks and it is pretty solid. Really fast. I did some benchmarks vs firefox and chrome and it is between 10% - 30% faster. It just seems snappier than other browsers.

Actually had better sunspider scores, but the newer version is much better at octane and kraken.
However it looks like since google switched to the blink engine sunspider is no longer something they are optimizing for. However the SWE browser scores are still 30% faster. It asks for a bunch of permissions. I am not sure which ones are actually necessary so I left it as is.

Known Issues:
Uploading files does not work.
I have compiled a new build. This was done last week and I have just been testing it out. File uploading works in this version and it is a little faster. Let me know if anyone else finds anything. The download link is the same.
A lot of them are dependencies. and tests etc, but the build process is kind of complex so taking things out is a pain to do.
Its a pity qualcomm don't release this on play store. It is a stonking quick browser.
The reason probably due to the language setting in your OS. I can try to change it in the code. what language Code are you using?
I have DuckDuckGo in my option. Its also there in the code as well:

It force closes every time when i try to type something into address bar (im on cm11)

What language are you using? I will see if I can reproduce it.
I have updated it with a version 3. It should allow you to pick duckduckgo for a search engine for UK. However autocomplete does not work.
english us and search engine is google
should i try to get some other logs?
now im on december version which do not fcs
edit: on ver. 3
when those are set as a search engine: google, yahoo and bing i got fc, but with duck and baidu do not get any fc (its same on the us and uk english)
could you liek disable autocomplete for google and see if it works? or use files from dec builds? just brainstorming heh

Auto complete works fine on my phone. What specific version of CM11 are you using. Maybe you can post about screen?
Its kind of hard to fix something you can't reproduce.

This version doesn't turn off autocomplete, but it might fix your problem.
