Well OK, that's an interesting concept, but I'm not sure it really adds value to the maps. It looks cool but that's about all it does.

Besides, many people on these forums come up with cool concepts, it's not necessarily the hardest part : once in a while it would be interesting to see TAT actually release something...

Tat has been discussed many times here. They've chosen to go the oem route. Their stuff is cool, but they're not releasing to the public. They want to sell to carriers and manufacturers.

That Music widget was impressive. Other than that, it seemed mostly pretty but not that useful.

In the latest Engadget show (13) a guy from TAT is there and he says they have never and will never release their work to the public, apparently they only deal with carriers and thats the way they want it. But I agree, its really sad considering what they have showed. In the engadgetshow he demos most of the stuff in the videos.
