If we hadn't made a backup of our original MMS is there any way to restore it? Does anyone have the apk that they could post up?

I found the answer to my own question. If anyone else is having this problem, go into the zip file of the rom you're currently running, and navigate to system/app
You'll find the stock mms.apk there. Copy that onto your phone, then use the root explorer method to replace the modified one with the stock one. Reboot phone.

The zips in the OP should be fixed now, and the (BI) version should now have text like is shown in the screenshots.

I added the (BI) version back calling it ICS, it has the blue text

Let me know if you have any problems.

I tried both GI and BI, both still have blue text. And this was on a newly installed rom too.

Just noticed that if you long press a contact in the mms app the window that pops up is grayish white with white text. Same goes for if you long press a number then deflect Add to Contacts, its white furious with whiter text..

I tried both GI and BI, both still have blue text. And this was on a newly installed rom too.

I can confirm this issue. I get blue text regardless of the .apks.

And I really wanted to use this too. :/

All my old texts say SENDING...at the side!!

Not sure if the app was trying to resend all my old stuff or what.
Quickly shut down and reverted back to stock.
