Dear fellows,
I am starting a initiave to identify FAKE Galaxy S III. The product of such initiative will be a free app available in the Play Store that will beyond any doubt tell if a device is a real Galaxy S III (including any of its variants) or not.
FIRST STAGE: COMPLETE!
The first stage of this initiave it to collect signatures of any Galaxy S III around (real and fakes) and create a database, so I can, in a second moment, create and deploy the application that will compare the signature reported by the device against a database of known signatures of real devices.
The motivation behind this initiave is the amount of fake S III devices that are surfacing XDA and their users requesting support (which is impossible to give). With a standardized and global support tool, users can themselves tell if they have a real S III or a fake one.
However, I need your help!
I only have access to the original, international GT-I9300, but I need to know all signatures of all the S III variants out there, including carrier-specific models, the I905, and so on. For that, I created a small app that collects the device signature and allows you to send it to me or to copy and paste the data.
ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONAL OR UNIQUE INFO IS COLLECTED. I ALSO DON'T COLLECT IMEI OR SERIAL NUMBERS.
All the data that is sent to me (or copied) can be seen by the user before sending.
Users with all the variants of the GS III are welcome to send me their results, including those with known fake devices.
Please help me in this initiative and share your device info with me, so I can create a helpful (for us all) support tool.
I also have hopes that users buying used, second-hand phones will be able to use this tool before buying, thus preventing some buyers from being deceived by buying fake devices.

INSTRUCTIONS:
- the drop-down selector, please specify the model you have (or think you have). All the other info is gathered automatically.
- copy the info using the EDIT button and paste it here or share with me through e-mail (the destination address will be filled automatically)
- you are able to review all the sent info BEFORE sending it.
STAGE TWO:
I recommend using this tool as a standard diagnosis for fake devices. IT can recognize the signature of all the S III variants (not only the ones sent in this thread or to my e-mail).
