Google Now is the latest voice assistant developed by google and to be released with the next version of an android-Jellybean v4.1
DISCLAIMER-Make a nandroid backup before trying this.
I tried it on both MiniCMSandwich and CyanogenTimescape and was pretty impressed with what google has offered to compete against the beloved iPhone Siri.
EDIT-If you want the ICS voice search to work,you need an AOSP based ROM,but the google now app can be installed on any ROM for the time being.Its a little hard to port this on all ROMs,but there's always scope for improvement
Here I present the walkthrough of the apk-
"Now Cards" are the ones that show at all times when you open Google Now
1)Weather--What's the weather like?
2)Traffic
3)Flights--Flight name + flight number
4)Stock--Stock price of goog(google stock name)??
5)Places
6)Translation
7)Time--What time is it in (your place)?
8)Sports--Score for (teams name)?
9)Transit
10)Currency
11)Next Appointment--It will read your calendar and post it on G-Now, if you don’t want it to, just go to setting and change it.
12)Definitions--Definition of__________
13)Image Search--Pictures of_____
14)Music--Play (Artist Name),Play (Song Name)
15)Math problems--solve 12% of 6.78
16)Questions-how tall is the eiffel tower??
just flash the attachment in CWM
UPDATE-after flashing install the following apk for getting the ICS voice search to act as the input for google now!
