Hello there viperboy, long time no see.

Question, just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, once you root the device, that's basically getting rid of knox? I didn't know that before I rooted, I guess a little more reading around would have saved me.

Depending on the root method. Most of the root methods will cause a "KNOX flag" to be permanently set to 1. When the KNOX software sees that the flag is not 0, it will think security has been compromised and refuse to work. It's not really getting rid of KNOX, it is making it useless. (maybe you used one of the rooting methods that does not trigger the flag)

Is it safe to reboot my phone at all after using this app (v1.0.1)? I am kind of afraid that I've made a huge mistake after trying your app.

Do you have a fix for the soft brick situation yet? You said you got your phone replaced, does that mean you have given up trying to fix it?

Is that you frank?
I think you have the wrong guy, I don't know anybody in New Orleans. The Internet is a big place, sorry but there's probably a million other Franks online.

You may see it when you root but don't trip knox, but I'm not sure.

You will get this with Root apps, this app disables that message.

This doesn't work. Use my method involving terminal emulator. It doesn't get easier than that

follow me @Bash_array
I guess my testing and everyone else must have been lying, huh? This app does the same thing as using TE.

Yes, it's safe. I haven't had time to test enabling again, however, the issue I had was related to the nvbackup I attempted, I'm 99.999% sure of that.

This is getting rid of the knox notifications, not knox itself.

Please read above, a reboot is safe.

Reboot is OK, just tried, thanks. If I create a CWM full backup, will it cause a brick? And what if I apply one?

My question is does the app that is trying to gain root able to after you disable notifications or does it just take away the notifications? Also if you are with sprint, if you read the Sprint TOS that you signed when you got the phone it says that rooting will not void your warranty they just ask that u put it back to stock when upgrading or having service done to it. Who has ever went to upgrade their phone and the rep put it in to download mode to check something like that? And when I had my s2 rooted and needed service on the ear piece I just left cm 10 and all my stuff just the way it was and they never said anything to me about it.

Google has removed my app from the Play Store, stating that it violates section 4.4 of the TOS. Not quite sure I agree, but not much I can do about it. Any future updates will be included in this thread.
