Only for The Google Now for ICS Project users!<br />

Simple addition for those who use Google Now! on Android 4.0 and want to take advantage of voice recognition. It won't work correctly on older versions of Google Voice Search, and it will not bring Google Now! itself to your phone.<br />
<br />
You can immediately start the voice recognition (without pressing the button) by holding down Search button for a while. Launcher shortcut is also available.<br />
<br />
Feel free to donate via context menu if you like it and want me to make the app better.<br />

i'm using Nova Launcher and on a home screen, the widget doesn't show up under "widgets", but it is under "shortcuts". if i go to the app drawer it shows up under "widgets" though. hope that helps.The Voice search widget button doesnt show in apex
Dumb question...
Since this app basically cuts the text that's input and pastes it into the new Google search app, can't it just append a carriage return or line feed to automagically execute the string without requiring the enter key?

i installed the apk from OP. im using the Galaxy Vibrant. however, after reboot i got a buttonless soft key from Galaxy Nexus. how do i remove the soft key

I can not get it work... Just download but it doesn't work with Google Now...

As I mentioned before, Google Play is slow in updating lately, so you will need to wait for a while. However, the Dropbox link should be fine.
Could you add a feature in a near update that disables the question read back TTS? So that no voice is spoken and that it simply goes the the gNow query? I think this would speed up functionality of this app, it's kinda slow, but does work. Looking forward to updates

It is. You can choose it as default, it only overrides the speech action, not other uses of Google Quick Search. However, it is possible that it only works with Persistent Search Bar and not with the standalone widget.

Ah! That explains it. I was trying using the standalone widget. [ using ADWEx Launcher] . Is there no way to make it work with the standalone widget?
Optionally, a 1x1 , widget for directly using the voice would also be a great option. [ie. pressing on the widget, it will immediately start listening to your voice]. Thanks, for ur hard work so far
