Thanks! I've wanted to play with those sensors but up until now haven't found a way to do so.

From my initial use of sitting in my living room with it, it seems to always read around 10 degrees higher than my digital indoor thermometer and thermostat read but I assume this is due to the heat the phone produces itself.

1) Set background readings to record every 15 mins.
2) Put the phone in a dark spot in the room with the screen off and don't touch it for 30 minutes.
3) The background temperature reading(s) taken during that period should be very close to the room reading.

Great comparision, KryptosXLayer2.

creed, zige, Rar9 have you tried putting your phone on a table and to wait for a few minutes to get better temperature readings?

I just tried this.

It says it is around 19 degrees inside my place, I left the phone outside for 15 minutes on it's own.
The temp actually went UP by 2 degrees!!!

It's currently 07:30am and approx 7 degrees and Sunny outside here in the UK.. The Sun is behind where I live so the front of my place, where I left the phone, is in the shadows.

So this seems to think it's 21 degrees outside!

Good effort, but it doesn't seem to work properly.

pls remember that the sensor is built in the device.. your device generate heat too.. dont expect 100% accuracy..

btw thumbs up for creator.. a good and nice app ... forget about ppl that complaining.. :D

14 degrees is a big difference in accuracy. And no one is complaining. They are pointing out the fact that sadly, it doesn't appear to be too accurate.

The unit numbers along the x and y axises in graph mode are too small. Moreover, although set to degrees celcius, when press stat menu, it still gives Fahrenheit units

The app shows about 1.7 degrees C too much:)

I dont think its too hard to correct it..
This seems to be the biggest complaint so let's have a discussion. I don't believe in offsetting/calibration/fudging the values but will put it in if it is demanded. The logic for keeping the fudging out is that you would be offsetting the temperature by a constant when in fact there is a non-linear (in time) relationship between what the ambient thermometer on the S4 is reporting and what your other base thermometer is reporting. This happens because the phone hardware/case is not "over-heated" with the same magnitude all the time i.e. your touching it, then not touching it, the screen is on then it is off. Thus, unless you decide to alter your calibration value every second it would be just as useful to not calibrate.

Yeah, don't fudge the data, please, the sensor clearly works, I've used it plenty and checking with other thermometers around my house, it reads the correct temp as long as everything else is pretty stable (you mentioned touching the device, screen temps, even battery temps, too), so adjusting anything on there would yield untold problems - let's just not go there, please!

Some guy (possibly spam) posted a user review on the Google Play page that it is being false flagged as a security threat. After testing, I am unable to reproduce. Anyone else have this issue?

EDIT: nevermind... as I suspected it was spam and was deleted by Google.
