Can you give me a download-link for your OS-ROM please.
I suppose that your OS-rom is the same as a already supported one.
I'm running this on my Blackstone. When it keeps the settings (672Mhz), it's snappy and quick.

However, it seems to change the speed down to 326.4 Mhz by itself for no apparent reason.

What am I doing wrong?
i have the exact same problem on my htc touch hd

info:

os version: 5.2.28244
manila: 2.5
rom version: Energy.BLACKSTONE.28244.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.Dec.20
radio version: 1.14.25.24
protocol version: 52.64.25.34U

Thanks For Great App

Hi,

I am trying the app on my Blackstone.
For now i am on 672Mhz and it's looks stable!

I will check for battery drain or SOD after call or when power plug in.
Anyway it's looks like you finally did it!
All the rest application cased my phone to stuck on firs speed change!

I will update if i find any problems or just to say you the best if all works smooth.
Thanks. :)

Update!!!
I see that after 4 minutes of sleep (screen off) speed drops to 336
and i need to run the link again, then i get the 672 back again.

Now i need to think on creating a script or something that will run the link when phone wake up!

Any one that have idea i will be happy to hear!
Thanks.

I would include support for this rom but you have to give me a download-link where I can download it without any login (except xda-developers), entering a serial-number or anything else. Please, I won't search around and spend more time than necessary to support YOUR special rom.
Please accept this procedure.

Hi, New Update!

Here is a simple guide how to set your phone speed to 691 Mhz steady and working!

1) Extract the zip and copy all files to your device any were you like.

2) Install the best application that made by iwfratz no credit for me!!! WiMoSpeed_V1.02.CAB

3) Install application that can show you on what speed you are now, don’t use it to set the speed it's not stable. Again no credit for me, Msm7kCpuSpeed_v2.cab

4) Install the most important application that will hold the speed stable after phone wake up! Also not my creation! SetCpuSpeed-1.0d.cab
Follow the installation guide set the speed to 691 but don’t set it to auto run on startup!

5) Now copy those two files StartCPU-Boost.mscr StopCPU-Boost.mscr to \Program Files\

6) First run the link WiMoSpeed_691.lnk

7) Second run the link StartCPU-Boost.lnk

Now you can see at the Msm7kCpuSpeed program that you are on 691 MHz!

Now you can put your phone to sleep and after 5 minus wake it up and check the speed, it's will be 691Mhz and steady!!!

Till here is the guide how to manually over clock your phone after it's fully booted and ready.

If you want all of this to happen automatically on start up you will need more work to be done.!

Here is the auto start up guide!!! (For advanced users)

Before you do those make shore that your phone working steady and no problem with over clock base on the first guide!!!!
If you set your phone to auto load, then over clock and its will stuck on start up all you can do is HARDRESET!!!!
Use it on your own risk!!!

Or you can save all files on Storage Card and fix my links to your destination folder.
And in case of stuck on boot, you can remove the Storage card from phone and load normally!
In case of phone stuck, try to increase the delay times for all links and see if that help.
If nothing helps then your phone is not compatible with over clock this way.

1) Copy file delayedExec.exe to \Program Files\
This small program does a wonderful thing!!!
Its delay start up of application on start up for time you set and make the phone load better and prevent (Stuck on start up when you load lots of applications)

Example of link string to delay application startup: "\Program Files\delayedExec.exe" 200 "\Program Files\StartCPU-Boost.mscr"
200 = seconds after boot! = 3min 20sec

2) Copy files WiMoSpeed_614-87.lnk , WiMoSpeed_691-92.lnk , StartCPU-Boost-200.lnk to \windows\startup\

The 87 / 92 / 200 = seconds after boot,

Check you’re self that all files in place and do reboot.

If the phone is ON and working fine after 3min 25sec! And you are on 691 MHz then you did all fine!

Now you have an over clocked phone and it's will stay that way all the time!

If you want to stop the over clock then remove the above files from \windows\startup\ and reboot.

If you want to stop the auto set speed after phone wake up, then you can run the StopCPU-Boost.lnk

Have fun!

Big thanks to all creators of the programs that i have provided here!
All of them i found here on XDA!

This is really a cool quide but after all this info is avalible now and we are more close to the best overclock now will be awesome if the creator of this program can make a new release with all in i mean the non advanced users to be able just to install the cab and set the speed they want and no other actions.. like copy this there paste this there.. write this reg there and etc.. because many peoples will get confused or will do it wrong.. im not talking fo rmyself because im already overcloked but will be awesome if we have soon one single app for OVERCLOCK :)

Thanks

it is not necessary to do all this. just install the following:

1- WiMoSpeed_V1.02.CAB
2- SetCpuSpeed-1.0d.cab
3- copy StartCPU-Boost.mscr StopCPU-Boost.mscr to \Program Files\

if u want to check the speed u can always go on wimospeed app

If you try to load WiMoSpeed and StartCPU-Boost.mscr at the same time with no delay bet wing them on boot!
your phone will stuck on boot.
I have tried and on Blackstone this what will happen.
My be on any outer phone it's will work OK.

So please use the guide to set the auto load if you want it.

How are you guys confirming stability?
If you were overclocking a PC you would use Prime95 or IntelBurnTest and keep a close watch on temperatures. Is there a WM prog that will do this?
Hi,

I am using a program called speedbooster 2.0.020
It's can show you after short benchmark if your speed is better or stayed the same.

About the temp, there is no increase, I am using program called tbattery that comes with NRG rom.

About stability,
If all works fine then Phone is stable.
If It's stuck on any condition as power plug in,
Missed call, just after a finished call, on wake up manually,

Then it's bad!

Here is the program
View attachment speedbooster_ppc_2.0.020-ORG.cab

I get score of 5.80 on 528 Mhz , CPU 5.70
And Score of 6.10 on 691 Mhz , CPU 6.45 !!!

And phone works allot faster then on 528 :)

So tbattery measures the battery temperature, not the CPU and you have no program to stress test the device.
There is bound to be a considerable temperature increase with the processor running at 30% higher speed and cooling is always going to be a problem in a portable device.

You have no way of measuring what sort of damage you may be doing to the CPU and motherboard and no way of knowing whether this speed is sustainable. Under light loads, I'm sure it will be fine, but it is all a bit hit and miss.

I wonder if there is any thermal protection on the Qualcomm® MSM 7201A and what temps it can handle? Will it crash before it burns?

Is there any graphics or audio format conversion tool around that would stress test the CPU? Even if there is, you will also need something capable of measuring CPU temp to go with it, before deciding a safe level.

I'm quite happy running my PC at 4.2GHz, because I know it is adequately cooled and stable. There is no way of knowing either of these things as yet with the HTC, so I'm going to leave it alone for now and continue to watch developments with a keen interest.

Device: Sprint Touch Pro2 RHOD400 (multiple units)
Radio: 2.32.00WF
ROMs: Energy ROMs

WiMoSpeed 1.01 and 1.02

Previously used OCT1.5 since that version came out. Had to settle on 652.8 with OCT to prevent SODs on my devices. With WiMoSpeed, I am able to get many of my devices to 710.4 now with no SODs for the past week or so. So the new versions (vs OCT) look like winners to me so far.

Suggestions:
1. button to do a quick CPU set back to stock speed versus having to create a shortcut or drop the "select value" dialog to "0" with the up/down toggles.
2. option to create shortcut links to the START MENU vs the "\program files\wimospeed" directory
3. ABOUT screen to include version in it (currently only has text verbiage and have no idea what version is in use).

Appreciate your continued hard work iwfratz !

If you thoroughly read the Rhodium OC threads that preceded this one, you'll find this stuff has already been documented. People have used SPB Benchmark to stress-test, and one fellow measured voltage to the chip as remaining the sameacross all clock speeds. Most anecdotal evidence indicates no increase in heat coming from OCd phones. When people try to clock too high, the phones simply freeze and people reset them. If anyone has damaged the Rhodium hardware through use of an OC app I think we'd have heard about it.

Thanks. That's good to hear. It would appear that the CPU has inbuilt protection. It will crash and not burn.

it was as u said indeed... and i was wondering why. and i found the answer..the thing is. over 602MHZ (for blackstone which cap is 528mhz) it is dangerous for the device so it will either freeze or restart. most people even use it at 672 or over 700!

so if u set it at 602mhz it will be just fine and wont freeze at all and out of danger :)

Hi, I would like te try your WiMoSpeed on my Xperia X1 with an 826X series ROM (to be found here: h ttp://w ww.mediafire.com/?3dxjv14x5od34eo ), using the 1.17.25.09 radio ( found here: h ttp://w ww.megaupload.com/?d=3W5WF9WW ).

Sadly it isn't working now, would it be possible to make it work? Thx for your answer!

Hello and thanks for this great tool...

After setting the CPU speed, if I exit the app, does that mean it is no longer overclocked, or does it stay in memory.

Thanks again for your help :)

336Mhz after off/on

First of all I would like to congratulate developing such a wonderful app!;)

Till now none of previous apps of this type worked on my Touch HD, this is working almost perfect and overclocking to 672mhz gives enormous speed improvement.

Unfortunately there is a problem - after turning my device off and on processor clock is reduced to 336Mhz.

I read in this topic that I am not alone facing this issue so I only post my specs and keep thumbs to see next version of this software soon and working perfectly;)

HTC Touch HD
ROM: Barebone 2.6 WWE 1.59.709.0 (48753)
Radio: 1.17.25.09
Protocol ver.: 52.69.25.37U

Edit:

After few tests I noticed that after turning off the device processor speed is always divided by 2.
