Thanks, great software.

I have the Imagio with the latest Radio 2.25.02WVL and the software is running fine. I'm using Energy Dec 20 2010 Standard Ref. rom.

I don't know if it's still an issue with the Blackstone users reverting back after sleeping, since it works fine on my Tilt2. Did anyone try using DotFred Task Manager, or the like, to add WinMoSpeed and the correct parameter to the notification queue under "Wake Up"?

Just a thought.

I also use Xperia X1. Winmospeed does not recognize the ROM and radio.

my rom:
- OS: Windows Mobile 6.5.3 build 23149 (23149.5.3.11)
- Manila version: 2.5.20191914.0
Radio 1.14.25.55

website: 826x.blogspot.com/

Is winmospeed compatible with the tool: nueCPL-ClockSpeed v1.3 (build 122) which you can use to prevent the CPU to go to 384 MHz when on battery. ?

An a very good idea!!!

Hi,
I have taked your advice and using SKTOOLS added new Notification Queue!!!:cool:

i have created quick link for 672 at wimospeed folder, and when added new Notification Queue i have used the link and set it on wakeup!

and gues what :) now i have 672Mhz stady after each wakeup!
and also when phone is in sleep mode his CPU is 336Mhz
So it's saving battery this way!

So for now this is the solution for blackstone!!!

Dear Creator!

Can you create a FIX for backstone that will create this Notification Queue?

This will solve the problem with half speed after wakeup.

Thanks. :)

hey iwfratz

great work on wimospeed so far! ive been using your oc apps since you first released oct. but now i have an issue. i have a sprint tp2 on energyrom jan 6 29007. i decided to change radios yesterday. on sprint's 2.32 radio, everything worked fine. i changed to verizon's 2.37, now i get a sod. ive tried reinstalling the app with no luck. when i disable wimospeed, there is no sod. can you help me out with a solution here?

edit:hmm the issue has seemed to resolve itself after a few reinstallations... wierd!

Error report

Does this mean that overclock is applied on AC only while WM restores normal (528 MHz) CPU speed on battery ?

Moreover, OCT was a device driver and it checked the CPU speed continuosly (or so I suppose). WiMoSpeed seems to set CPU speed only when run and then leave the CPU to itself (or to WM).

I'm confused

I got the error report after i tried to run , couldn't find PInvoke DLL-File WiMospeed.dll

My speed is 600mhz
Here's link for the HTC HD Mini my phone:

What should I do?

"WiMoSpeed supports Qualcomm MSM7200 (and compatible) and is actually limited to ROMs of"

Sprint is MSM 7600. Since this one is kind of new.

The OCT 1.5 was not working on the TP2 when it just came out until build 1.3 or 1.4 based on what I read.

What would you recommend between all overclocking programs including OCT 1.5 and this? And why? Would you recommend it over netripper's overclock app? Why? Is it faster clock for clock than netrippers msm7kcpuspeed (I mean do you recommend this one at all since it supports almost anything)?
You know like OCT 1.5 and msm7k and others does not affect battery life.. does this program winmospeed affect it?

What is file list (main memory)? I see with win mo speed the score were dramatically lower on 768 and 528 than on OCT 1.5 (By like 1000 difference). Is it important?
Also with storage card write the 768 win mo speed performed dramatically slower than the OCT 1.5 (785 vs 1111). Is this one important?

Which program performs faster overall?

Btw benchmarking at 528? What will the results be since 528 is stock without any of these programs installed? It confuses me with the difference and I see that at 528 OCT 1.5 seems to be faster overall than win mo speed while win mo speed I am not sure if it is faster overall at 768 than OCT 1.5.

On the web
No way to create a shortcut in my TPro2, even if I press the button "Create shortcut", who can help me?

THX

As mentioned several times, the shortcut is stored in your phone at Program Files, in folder WiMoSpeed. The file name should be WiMoSpeed_xxx, where xxx is the speed you set before creating the shortcut. Did you check there?

Dear iwfratz,
Would not it be an idea that you own the program you make easier to work and all those dll files along with WiMoSpeed.dll.
to the example;
We users are something like 2.1 fingerkeyboard do it yourself a txt file. This text file tells the layout of the fingerkeyboard 2.1. Could be in your WiMoSpeed perhaps one such text file where we say it ourselves as we have a radio and rom version.

Thank you very much, but it and make you much easier.

    CAUTION !!!
    - USE THIS TOOL AT YOUR OWN RISK !!
    - Overclocking your cpu may damage your device.
    - Before autostarting the app be sure that your device will not hang.
    - backup is always recommended !!

    DESCRIPTION :
WiMoSpeed lets you change the CPU-speed. In opposite to other tools, even to the predecessor OverClockTool (OCT), it manipulates the values WM uses for clock control. So it works reliable on battery and AC without any scripting or active components.

    USAGE :
    - WiMoSpeed needs .NET CF 3.5
    - Download and install the CAB
    - Start WiMoSpeed.exe. If it reports that it cannot identify your ROM: read LIMITATIONS/PROBLEMS
    - Select Speed
    - Set Speed
    - Exit WiMoSpeed.exe
    - Your device still runs with speed you set

Auto start WiMoSpeed to desired speed:
Note: one advantage to installing WiMoSpeed to storage card is that if device ever won't boot at new speed, the card can be removed and the device will boot at original speed.

    1. MOST IMPORTANT: Ensure WinMoSpeed will function safely on your device at desired speed by using it for several days while setting the speed manually.
    2. Run WiMoSpeed, set to desired speed, click "create link with current settings". This will create a lnk file under the install directory, usually "/Program Files/WiMoSpeed" or "/Storage Card/Program Files/WiMoSpeed".
    3. Copy that lnk file to the "/Windows/Start Up" folder.
    4. Reboot device.
    5. Run WiMoSpeed to verify "current CPU speed" is correct.

    LIMITATIONS / PROBLEMS
I am working on this in my spare time, beside my job, my mate and some other interest. I own a Rhodium-device only, so I can not reproduce errors on other devices and debugging is very difficult and time-consuming. Be patient.

WiMoSpeed supports Qualcomm MSM7200 (and compatible) and is actually limited to ROMs of
    • Rhodium,
    • RhodiumW
    • Topaz
    • Blackstone
    • Whitestone / Imagio
    • Raphael / Fuze
    • Diamond
    • Kovsky / Xperia
    • Quartz
    • Pure
    • test (!) support for Jade, Panther, Mega and Rose

!!! If you have a device listed above and WiMoSpeed could not identify your ROM please post here what part of your ROM WiMoSpeed couldn't identify (OEMXIP and / or RADIO-ROM) and include a download-link of your ROM (OS, RADIO) !!! Otherwise I will ignore your post. Thank you.

If you are going to report an error please include the ROM identification of WiMoSpeed shown in the GUI (e.g. OS "Rhod016 / PLL2", Radio "4.49.25.91")

    TECHNIQUE
Basically WiMoSpeed is hardware-independent, because it lets WM change clock speed. But I couldn't get WM to switch the clock reliable on request so WiMoSpeed had to switch the clock registers itself on setting a new speed.
Therefore WiMoSpeed depends on CPU-hardware, RADIO- and OS-ROM.

Raising or lowering cpu speed didn't change battery drain or device temperature noticeable. So there isn't dynamic clocking in WiMoSpeed, but WM is still controlling and changing cpu-speed on battery.

    thanks to

    -eboelzner for Sense UI SDK
    -dmvandijk for the icon
