Update to change extUSB references/coding to USBdisk?

Now that OS 5.0.5 is in the wild, wouldn't it be a good idea to change any label and coding that references "extUSB" to the following else the backup/restore and data move functions will no longer operate properly (which they do not on my recently updated FTV 1 boxes):

Fire TV 1 USB Drive: external directory is now labeled "USBdisk"
Fire TV 2 USB Drive: external directory is now labeled "USBotg"
Fire TV 2 MicroSD Card: external directory is now labeled "SDcard1"

I don't have a Fire TV 2 so cant test or know myself without your help so thanks again

Weird thing; I tried (twice) to install SPMC. The program downloads is, reports that it was installed correctly and tells me not to push any configs before I run it, but the app is nowhere to be found under "Manage apps" on my AFTV1... Anyone can confirm?

Its not just you buddy....

You found a bug... duhhhh!! Sorry!!

I was having some issues with the Restore in V0.60 seems like it would push just about everything or just stop........ I'm trying version .61 now and I will let you know how it goes .....

Same error I changed to restore for sdcard like you showed me in

Just installed FireTV Utility App v.57 and it works as expected after selecting SD Card as the source. It backed up Kodi just fine to the C:\FTV folder.

I changed to restore for Sdcard like you showed me in picture and it still doesn't work, I downloaded .60 and when I hit Sdcard and restore I get error message "Cant find filename in arguments" what ever that means I don't know.

I was able to do this via ADB Fire. ADBFire was updated last week to do just as you ask. I am unfamiliar with this software but am downloading as we speak to see what its about.

I downloaded and ran Sharewithus.exe a window with " please wait while windows configures suprx" pops up and then closes. Nothing else.
There is no file to unzip. If there is I have no Idea where to find it. Can I get some direction please?

Use the first link. Then make sure you click on ">> Click here to download current v0.62 <<".
Then let AdFly load. Counts down about 5 seconds on the upper right side. And lick on "Skip Ad". This might load a bunch of pages. But just wait until a MediaFire page loads & download from there. Do not download anything else. Only from MediaFire site. And close any other pages that pop-up.

Looks like you fell for a third-party download button... if I were you I'd be scanning my PC for viruses and malware like crazy.

Your device must of updated to the latest FW. Your in the wrong thread reagarding this problem...

I would start on page 60 of the FireStarter thread... There is a fix out.
