I am facing the same issue @hac9. Android 11. Hope someone can chime in on this.
Will the module be adding support for LSPosed's scope requirements?
Did u try Norton? The only Play Store alternative I've found usefulDoes anyone here have any app suggestions that work just like MaxLock? I've been using this module since years now & it seems I won't be if/when I upgrade to Android R/12.
Tried a couple of "app locks" from Play Store, none of them are as easy, effective & simple to use as MaxLock is, I don't need fancy stuff, the crash dialog imitation is fine for me. Thanks.
Alright, will give it a try, thanks!Did u try Norton? The only Play Store alternative I've found useful
Actually I don't use it right know because Im on MIUI and it has handy inbuild app lock tool But I remember I was using it some time ago and it met my requirements. I dont remember anything like "app crash imitation" though...Alright, will give it a try, thanks!
I see there are some bad reviews regarding the latest version on the Play Store, are you using the latest one or any old one? Also, does it have the "app crash" imitation implementation in it?
This app isnt maintainted anymore Im afraid.I've been using Xposed MaxLock for longtime (thanks) and now that I decided to try the no Xposed version on a non rooted device, I noticed MaxLock actually does not relock itself if you close the app without dismiss it from recents, so if you re-open the app from recents, it opens without restriction at the same place where you leave. A security breach I guess, that calls for some revision. Probably the app should always close itself when you leave.
On the other hand, I noticed that device after device, I had to install two or tree different locking apps for things that I want to remain private: photos, videos, documents, notes... also, the possibility to change app icon in order to disguise would be another welcome feature. With all of those integrated into MaxlLock, it would be the versatile, all in one privacy app that everyone must have.
Which really sucks some heavy major moosetail because there was at one point some hope in @Maxr1998 redesigning the app or at least showing some interest in continuing development.
Any alternative recommendations?
Well I still use it actually with admin rights it's still working OK. One app which made good impression on me was Norton App Locker, but I tried it long time ago
Yeah bitdefender also has an integrated app lock. Maybe I'll install it again, couple other decent security features in it tooWell I still use it actually with admin rights it's still working OK. One app which made good impression on me was Norton App Locker, but I tried it long time ago
Is it working for you on Android 11?Well I still use it actually with admin rights it's still working OK. One app which made good impression on me was Norton App Locker, but I tried it long time ago
On some ROMs I was able to run it successfully with Xposed module, on others not. On A12 works only with admin rights for me, which is not that powerful ofc..
Conventional applock softwares use polling to detect current running process, which drains your battery and slowers your device. This is why I have created MinMinLock. With the help of Xposed framework, MinMinLock uses an event-driven method to detect app launch and lock it, which results in better performance.
Really, what's so complicated about reading the last pages? Why do not you tell us whether you plan to continue supporting your product or not? If so, what are the terms, how long should we wait?
Great app and thanks for it. But I have one question: Is it possible to hide notification that is "content hidden by maxlock"? Because if I want to make something really hidden then I don't want it to be declared as hidden by any other app. So, how to lock any app without any notification on the bar but with notifications as sound and vibration?
I asked similar question about ten days ago and still waiting for an answer. Am I missing something or just being ignored intentionally?
I think you all have to be equally patient, as Nougat support and the notification feature will likely come out on the same dayThank you spaceman but as far as I could see dev can answer questions, and he can indicate the situation. According to you I must be patient because I'm using non-Nougat version, right? Is this a rightful approach?
