EDIT:: NVM... Fixed!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a slight problem... I had this installed and changed my number etc.
So just now I changed ROMs and upgraded to 4.3.... factory reset and all. Now I'm stuck with the number I changed to!

Is there any way to change to my original number without having to install xposed framework on 4.3?? ( like edit build.prop or something?)

thank you!

A suggestion: Can you please add a check so that it doesn't rewrite the number if the IMSI is changed? I put a different SIM in my phone, and ended up accidentally rewriting the number on it.

As I've said before I did this to my personal (one time) use. I won't waste my time adding things, especially when there are other (easy) solutions. For your problem you could disable the module inside Xposed Installer or even uninstall the whole app before changing SIMs and it won't do anything anymore.

Ok, I have a question:

Tmobile won't let you change your phone number in voicemail settings so that Google Voice's VM service then sets as default if you try, it times out and switches back to your Tmobile phone number. If I use this and insert my Google Voice number, will this then allow me to use Google Voice VM with Tmobile service? I'd rather do that, honestly, since I just leave my phone in airplane mode and use sip calling. This means I use GV voicemail exclusively but can't have it set it default with my current setup.

Honestly? I have no idea.

Excellent, thank you

Confirm it works on GS4, 4.2.2 stock ROM 's, works flawlessly, sticks after rebooting and even after removing module.

Thanks for your work, don't understand why carriers won't bother assigning numbers correctly.

the "unknown number" also bother me

but probably having it unknown is better..if you leave it unknown on the sim card, there is NO way for any app (even a root app) to get your actual phone number (and send it in clear over internet, store on databases, track your number, etc)..am i right?

the problem is: could any app (or android itself) really need it to work correctly for some reason in some occasions?

For those where it won't work.

Like already mentioned a few times in other threads:
Get an old mobile, I used a Sony Ericsson T303
So next handlings or for the Sony Ericsson T303, but you get the basic :D

- Put your sim in it
- Go to Menu
- Go to Contacts
- Press Options
- Choose More
- Choose Special Numbers
- Choose My Numbers
- Line 1 -> Press Edit when your number is selected
- Confirm and edit
- Save
- Done :)

Most old mobiles let you change your number on the Sim.
You just need to know how to get there ;)

No apk to install, no framework messing :)

(I did this today, works flawless)

You can also use blackberry devices.
I dont know about the new OS 10, but up to OS 7, BB devices can edit the sim card phone number.

Change Sim Number

Hi,

There is one alternate. Put your SIM in Samsung Guru dual SIM phone. And go to contacts>Settings>Own Numbers.

Here you can change, or add number to a sim. I have done that.

Thanks
