Hi,

Look on the market for "YouTube Ripper" - it's a free application - requirements are: A SD Card, Android 1.5 or better.

After you installed you can use it like this:

1. Open YouTube application
2. Search for your favorite youtube video.
3. Press on it until a menu pops up, press on "Share"
4. Select "YouTube Ripper"
5. YouTube Ripper application pops up, press on "Rip It!"

It will then start downloading the youtube video to your /sdcard/youtube folder.

Nice app! The thing I like about this app vs the others in the market, is that it lets you use youtube to do the searching instead of the app itself doing the search. The other apps in the market cant find some videos on youtube.

Good work, maybe make it ad supported so the market cost can be offset?

I am not sure how effective those thing are though.

Re: [APP] YouTube Ripper

I don't think it works if you are logged into ur YouTube account on ur phone... logged out worked great I can care less about being logged in YouTube lol... good job on this..

I would love to have this app, unfortunately I have a MyTouch 3G with CM 5.0.7 beta (2.1). Would this work on my phone?

Found a similar app called TubeMate that my friend says works great for him. I am trying it right now - downloading a video and it gives you different options. If this works then it looks like it could be a solid replacement for YouTube Ripper.

I take no credit for this app, its all the work of the OP.

Here is my working apk. I can verify this works on 2.1, 2.2, and 2.2.1, both stock firmwares and custom roms. I have been using this app since its last update with no problems what so ever, on my Galaxy S Vibrant.

Push it to your data/app folder.

Hope it works you y'all. Enjoy.
