Best to freeze it first, if you don't have any problems with sms after a few days, I would say yes.
But personally I never delete them, the gain in space is minor to zero.

One note - removing gallery in cm10.1.3 also removes the camera

Also, removing 'Downloads' also prevents play store from downloading new apps in cm10.1.3.

But as per the faqs root will make OTA fail .

I am running Stock 4.3 (XXUEMKC) by kenar2 and had it deBloated with ROM Cleaner. Running for 5 days with no issue and better battery life than before.

Read the ROM Cleaner thread on details of using the script.

I'm running stock 4.3 and I have frozen most of the applications in the list. Now I can't share pictures through the gallery, and every time I try the gallery app shuts down.

Is there any app that I might have frozen in the list above that can trigger this behavior or is it a bug in 4.3?

That is a good possibility, when looking at the green list, did you froze camera?
If not, just unfreeze stuff till it works again.

The green stuff is oke, it won't wreck your phone, but maybe there are stuff listed you want to use.
