Hey people,

I`ve noticed that some apps seem to load upside down on the tablet(seem to be mostly apps that are designed for phone android)

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to resolve this?

Cheers

I have seen this happen with a few select apps, Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine in particular. Even the XDA app starts sideways, then rotates back to the right spot.

IT happens with the Antipaper Notes HD app as well as 50 languages and the games nano panda and Blast monkeys.

I dont mind if apps only work in portrait but I`d prefer the other way around :s

Happened to me too and the problem was i could not get out of them so had to reset the device with a pin on the side. Don't remember what they were as i uninstalled them immediately

I havent had that happen, but i do run into a problem, when i try to download an app sometimes, it wil say its downloading, but thats all it does, i have to back out, click download again then it wil finally install. Sometimes i will click download and it closes the market out completely and randomly opens an app from my library.

on other tablets, it doesn't matter since they are symmetrical. For right-handed people, it's natural to hold it with the left hand and on the Sony tablet it feels awkward to hold it in portrait mode by the thin side. A number of apps (like the Tapatalk app) load upside down but then flip correctly and some (the official Flickr) run only upside down (at least for righties)

Agreed, basically my concern was if it is problem with Sony only or all tabs, it seems its generic issue..

So far my apps are loading rightside up. Including tapatalk. This is only my second day with the tablet though. I have experienced having to try a second time when installing apps though.

I assume you're holding it thick side in your left hand? Default landscape for apps is so the top of the phone/device is on the left side so portrait would be thick side on the right. Nothing strange, just Androids default.
