Anyone got thoughts on File Explorer (shows as a dark silver folder with FX in play). I find it invaluable for freezing apps, file/dir based stuff. Has access to dropbox and external systems amongst other stuff.

Also SDMaid for cleaning.

Right I didnt know if I should make a new thread or just ask here seeong as its about best apps. We shall see.

I used to have an xda mini s back in the day and that had a ir port. It had many apps available which allowed me to point a remote (tv) directly at the ir port and record the code then send it later. Allowing me to change the tv channel ect..

Now I know there is an app called watchon which allows to send predefined codes but tbh it kinda sucks and doesn't allow custom commands .

Is there any free/cheap apps to do this with / and define multiple controllers ?

I know about touchsquid but thats over 30 quid which in my opinion is way to pricey for such a simple app.

Touchsquid is far from simple and the only app yet available that you can use to legitimately set up and run a more complex system with the kind of functionality that some of us want and have been paying more than 1k for not too long ago. Overkill for most people but it must in fairness be said that it bears no relation to watch on or other apps which cant even run my bedroom setup.

I used total commander for years (windows 6.1 times).... Moved on to solid explorer.... May be I have to visit it again.... Just loving solid explorer

What about Google Keep instead of S Memo? It syncs to your account, so it is cross device.

Yh I use keep. Samsung apps seem worthless. Wish I could rid myself of them completely.
