Its a little unstable as on all CM10 ROMs, other than that theres no issues. Perfect for daily use, imo

If you use a third party app without all the fancy stuff like panorama and HDR, everything works perfect. Maybe a bit more noise than on stock, but nothing shocking.

I use Camera 360 and Camera FV-5 myself (both are paid unfortunately), but for me almost every third party app is better than the default one in CM10.

Appreciate the help, mate. I did and it still refuses to work. Plus, the camera seems to freeze and not save the photo when clicked on the default FXP240 kernel.

I tried flashing a new kernel (Lupus 12, 480p and 720p) but the problem with the camera persisted while the WiFi resumed operation.

Interestingly, Lupus 11 720p seems to fix the WiFi issue and the camera issue along with an unintended consequence of the panorama option in the camera working as well.

Strange indeed.

flash the attached zip, choose 720p in camera app and you´ll get the 864x480 res video:good:.


you only need to do a change in media_profiles.xml.

I have flashed CWM 5.0.2.7 nRa 2 recovery but it gives error while flashing any ROM. I don't remember the error correctly coz it's very long but it said something like "Assert failed: getprop(...". I saw an option called toggle script asserts, I disabled/enabled but it didn't help.

Is there any recovery I should be using?

If you get status 7 error, you should flash stock ROM first using Flashtool.

However, I find that sometimes most of the applications take a lot of time to launch - for exampla, google play takes few seconds to load, camera, same thing...facebook, well, I should only open it when I have some time to kill...it takes two or 3 screen timeouts before it loads anything

Is there any option, to tweak this CM10, so that it opens applications faster? Maybe some system optiom I'm not aware off? Or should I just get used to it?

I am using cm10 too. All working upto the mark no issues anywhere.
Did you do a clean install? If yes, then its difficult to say yet you can use softmods of cm10, they are tweaked .. For eg. Super Jelly bean, racing bean etc.. There are many more. And if you didnt perform a clean install do that, maybe that solves the problem.
Most important which kernel do you use? Fusion, lupus, 3.4 kernel by @siankatabg and few more these are most popular kernels that are said to be working more than awesome with cm10. Hope the info helps you. Thanks

What ROM were you on before? Stock 4.0 also takes 10 seconds to open the dialer for example. The Facebook apps sucks btw, even the latest quadcore devices take up to 5 seconds to open it. I recommend using m.facebook.com if you don't need notifications.
