I happened upon this blog detailing a working WM Neo Geo/CPS1/2 emulator called Final Burn. Turns out it's been mentioned before, more than a year ago on this forum, but it's been a reclusive beast.

Everything you need is in there, I won't post links to rom sites or firmware, but the emulator is there.
It works pretty well, but not perfect. Most of the roms I've tried work, but get a little bit choppy when the action starts (street fighter alpha etc) Metal Slug 2/3 is way to slow to play, Ghouls and Ghosts seems to work perfectly. It works in landscape, button mapping works fine, sound is good, choppy at times when stuff happens again.
I just wish the xperia had that 10-15% more grunt it needs to really drive emulators like this, and morphgear to run at really playable rates.
