I just got back from vacation and had zero reception even roaming. Is there anything I can do to force roam on any carrier signal. Don't know if it makes a difference but running cm10.

There's a thread dedicated to PRLs (preferred roaming list): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880781
There's a few PRLs that are modified to force roaming to VZW. Unfortunately, PRLs can only be changed in TouchWiz, and may or may not help.

I'd like to keep my TW nandroid up to date. Will having Superuser and the su binary on my phone affect the OTA update? I went back to the stock recovery so it would actually be able to install the update.

And leave CM10?

After running AOSP for a while, I could never go back. I'd just restore TW for long enough to flash and test the PRL.

Titanium Backup & ROM Question

Hello,

What is the name of the app or program on Titanium to backup the desktop?
On the HTC devices its called HTC desktop, I cannot find anything called desktop on the Galaxy.

And do you guys & gals have a recommendation of a good & stable JB ROM?

Thanks for the help!

Hey guys i have a serious question. I dont know what else to do. Im not an advance person in the whole mobile development but i do know how to root phones and roms using odin. So i have a sprint 32gb galaxy s3 (white) rooted. Had it for a while and simply forgot it was rooted, so i got a update and i accepted and everything was working fine. So i decided to do a factory reset using the menu settings due do some apps with to many ads. so after it was reset i started re downloading my apps, signing in to my accounts and noticed i no longer had root access. So why not just re root it right? i asked my self. and so i tried and it fail. I never had it failed before so i tried again a few more times. After a few more failures i googled my problem to see what has gone wrong. And i thought i had bricked my phone. So i simple tried a guide to unbrick it. And came across this website HERE:

www . creadevandroid . com/restore-samsung-galaxy-s3-to-stock-factory-settings-unbrick-unroot-verizon-cdma

I followed the steps NOT NOTICING it was for the "Verizon" version and i flashed it on odin took about 20 to 30 minutes which i thought was odd. plus the file was about 779 MBs. but it also failed. So i exited out download mode and restarted my phone but now the Verizon 4G LTE boot appears. and it just loops and loops over n over. So i tried to find a Sprint Stock Recovery to see if that would reset it back to sprint version on odin and it passed. BUT the verizon boot its comes up and it wont load just loops. So i tried flashing different sprint stock recovery and they all pass but still the same verizon loop boot. What should i do. Is there any threw that might help me. Thank you in advance :(

You do not (just) need to reload the stock recover, you need to reload a sprint ROM. If you are able to get into download mode and run Odin you are still ok. The best bet would probably be to load a full ODIN image and get back to stock. I would suggest the version you can get here. Load this with Odin and you should be fully back to stock.

Edit: The link in the OP of the thread that I listed is dead. Refer to this page and you can get a copy of the Odin image here.

This thread is too damn funny like watching the blind lead the blind. Even most of the people answering questions seem to have never used the search bar before. And it seems the majority of people who post here wait all of 4 or 5 minutes before posting in the q-a anyway. That being said read a little before you brick your phone. Pay attention that was an epic fold. Heres a link to the unbrick files you need prerooted for your convience

Can someone point me to a thread that gives reviews/summary/guides to the ROMs for the Sprint S3?

I know what I want but am having a hard time figuring out which ROM is closest to it.

Thanks Diane

Anyone know if the smart dock for the sprint note 2 works on the sprint s3?
Upset that the note2 does not have simultaneously voice and data so will be going to the s3 that and Agat Went to s3.

phone as usb or network drive

On my previous phones, i have been mounting them as usb drives to backup the files. I then use a handy program called syncbackse to synchronize the files. That worked great (except i had to buy it to get real synchronization). I figured out how to do it on the gs3 using samba file-sharing. It is working, but it's very slow. I let it run overnight, and after 8 hours, it's still backup up my 25 gb of external data.

Any one know of another solution to mount (usb or network) both internal and external sd cards? How about a good Windows speed test?

Goodness jb-hotspothack.zip??????

I'm running Goodness 4.0 rom on my Sprint SGS3. I noticed in the Rom Updater menu under Bug Fixes that theres a zip called "Hotspot Hack". When you download it it gives you a file called "jb_hotspothack". I of course thought that was going to fix the JB hotspot issue but when I flash it nothing happens. At least not from what I can tell. Can anyone explain to me this is. Your response is greatly appreciated.
