I'm concerned about the modified Exynos 2200 inside, hope the modifications done are worth buying the 7 series.

The "raw" Exynos 2200 is well known as a bad chip that powers the S22 series in various regions.
This is a modified Exynos 2100, not a 2200. The 2200 used all of ARM's new cores while the 2100 used X1, A55, and A78 like Tensor G2 does.

Being a year behind Exynos when the fate of the 2300 is still unclear is not good.

What's the Pixel 8 even supposed to be? ARMv9 and 3nm?

Samsung will eventually run out of canceled chips and designs to repurpose into Tensor.

Have and am keeping P6P, but buying P7P for the wife to replace P2XL. GrapheneOS has their preorders made and should be receiving dev devices in the next couple of days, and considering how similar the P7[P] is to the P6[P], I wouldn't anticipate it taking them too long to get things working.

Perhaps, but I'm pretty happy with my Samsung s22. Pixel 7 might just be a little bit too large and too heavy, but we'll see. If I like it, I plan to trade in an s10e (that was sitting in a drawer) for $300, so that would sweeten the deal considerably! If not, I'll look forward to trying the S23 eventually.

I really would love to try this phone, and maybe I will. The processor issues mentioned above bother me. I have not heard a lot of great things about the Exynos chips. I have a Galaxy S10+ that is still going strong, and have always been glad that I have the Snapdragon over it's Exynos counterparts.

All that said it seems like a pretty solid phone, and Google seems to be good at making the processor work for them. I handled a floor model at Best Buy and the build quality felt very premium. It had a very nice screen and the speakers were pretty good. The software and UI of course was awesome. My last Google phone was the Nexus 6p which I loved. I still think there is something special about having a Google phone.

Of course the S10+ I have still hangs with it, which is the main reason I haven't gotten a new phone for so long. I am on the fence, and I think I will wait for the data/reviews to come in (I really wish they would allow reviews during this preorder time). I am looking forward to hearing everyones experience.

It might come within striking distance of the 14 and 14 Plus with their older SoCs (keeping in mind the Tensor G2 leaked performance puts it between a Snapdragon 870 and 888, nowhere near current flagship performance and current flagships can't even match the A15) but there is no chance it can come even remotely close to the Pros except in camera and charging speed (if Google chooses to increase it, I am betting it's the same 21~23W as last year). If Apple had gone to USB-C and introduced true fast charging this year I would have switched to the 14 Pro Max because I'm so tired of the random lags, overheating, battery drain, and gaming performance issues my OnePlus 9 has while my 2 year old 12 Pro Max still runs everything I have tried effortlessly. Like it's always funny watching these "speed test" videos that just test app launching speed and nothing else. Apple's optimization is next level.
Thanks for the response! I too saw some reviews and the phone is less than the flagships of 2022 but I like the looks and I'm pretty much satisfied with this performance! iPhone nailed their specs and performance but I don't like their old looks so I'm going with the Pixel 7...

Indeed. I am trading in my old 12 Pro Max for a 7 Pro today myself lol.

Let's see how much they will cost here in Germany. Maybe I'll gift one to myself for christmas. But I'll wait... not gonna preorder again. I've learned.

Well, f* me... I ordered one. Obsidian, 256GB, original Google charger (780€ all in). Gonna get the black Pixel Buds Pro for free, will sell them for like 150€. Gonna sell my Realme GT2 Pro for like 420€ I guess. Thinking of vanilla Android and the Pixel camera made me ordering it. I hope I won't regret. I learned nothing lol.

My P5 was working great seeing I never used it for more than a couple months and got it new around $537 from Best Buy, (they screwed up). I did like the size but the the Trade in offer for a Pixel 7 of $370 from Best Buy was to good to pass up for an Android phone that will receive updates... I'll use it as a back up to my 13 Pro when I need to just change things up...

My OnePlus 7T's main board died a few days ago, so could find only the Pixel 7 in the place of 7T, I mean with the similar specs (I think there are other OnePlus's too but very less chance of choosing any other from OP). May get other brand's with better specs too but I need stock Android or with minimal skinning of AOSP (OOS was there but no more), also no custom ROMs too for them if I'm correct.

So very likely to grab a Pixel 7, and the only factor that's concerning me is the price :/ not sure if I would spend so much for a mobile phone.

I come from a OP8 Pro and i dont liked the software updates lately.
Im really happy with my Nothing Phone 1 and its nearlys half a Pixel 7 in price.

If you are not into the many camera features of the pixel and the other exceptional awesome software goodies the NP1 is an awesome choice.

The NP1 has awesome build quality, looks awesome and there is no bloatware at all. Sure the chip is not the best but thats it.

Yeah that's also in my list and yes because of the price. My only concern about NP1 is the quality of cameras, I mean it should be similar or better to my 7T, just that. I'm not a too much phone camera person, have DSLR, though I need good photos when clicked with phones, also videos too. Lol I had a plan to trade my 7T for NP1 when it was released because of the too much hype, though there wasn't literally any reason to replace my 7T after seeing and reading the reviews, since the spec is very similar to 7T, not that the NP1 isn't good, 😊

Anyways thanks for the suggestion 👍

I've recently switched to Pixel 7 and its user interface is good, is there anything I've to know about this phone cause I'm new to Pixel phone? Just some little information to optimize this phone to work better!

Do you want the hot girl that is just T&A - or do you want the cute girl with a brain that you can settle down with?
That's the Pixel choice in a nutshell ;)
*I always choose the cute girl. Less hassle, more fun.

Are you willing to spend as much or a little more on the new Google Pixel 7, which seems to be an excellent smartphone?

They always seem to be an excellent smartphone on paper but disappointing in reality.

Last year I preordered a Pixel 6. I was so hyped. New design, new SoC, stock Android, great camera. And then I got the device and there was problems with the screen, I had the accessibility service freeze bug and Google did nothing to fix it for months. I sent the device to RMA 2 times. Updates were delayed, more bugs came. It was a mess so I sold the device and made financial loss.

I dislike the fact that they made the display for the Pixel 7 smaller than the one of the Pixel 6, and I dislike curved edges on the pro version. Curved display edges are a stupid useless feature - it's no good for haptics and IMO it's marketing crap plus good screen protectors are either hard to find or expensive for them.

So maybe I'm gonna buy a Pixel 7. Maybe not. Right now I got a Realme GT 2 Pro and it's like the OnePlus device I always wanted, but the camera is not that good and it's missing the alert slider. BBK Electronics is not really cool and what they done to OnePlus and Oxygen OS is bad. Having a Pixel with Vanilla Android again would be nice. And the cameras are always very good on Pixels. I love that.
