Are you still using the screen protector from the box?

2 months and counting.. and the shipping protector is still as smooth as glass and works with or without stylus perfectly. I'm glad I kept it on and just took 2 seconds to cut the pull tab off.. I love how it's 100% bubble free, 100% vivid.. and cleans with just a wipe of the cloth. I'll never remove mine.

I'm using the extreme guard and to be honest if applied correctly the sensitivity loss is so little no reason to worry about it my personally I!use them on all my devices front and back so I don't scratch my product and then I use cases on top of it but if you see my post I'm king of keeping something six months or less then selling it 20 bucks less the retail and buy the next one. Aways helps when you can say mint oh and in the rare chance I do go naked and get a scratch it bugs my like a two year old with out his blanky

I just put 2 layers of synthetic car wax on it and call it a day. It will protect it from micro scratches, make it butter smooth, and it wont feel like my device is made out of a plastic water bottle.

I dont get the point of screen protectors. All the devices ive replaced the screens on had the screen protector on it. Modern screen are incredibly hard to scratch. I feel like its like wrapping your car in plastic wrap so it doesnt get scratched. Great you kept it scratch free for the guy you are going to sell it to.

Using car wax is a new one for me. Does it accumulate on the screen at all? I agree about screen protectors. I haven't used them in years, and I haven't had a screen scratch since Windows Mobile Phone days long ago.

Modern screens don't need a protector. The real risk is dropping your device on a hard surface and a screen protector doesn't help much with that.

Not Too Far
Usually I remove all the factory screen protectors because 1.) They are very thin and 2.) They have something printed on them right in the middle of the screen to render them useless for everyday use. I have gone through quite a few tablets and after removing factory protectors never really put on any screen protectors on them. I like the tablets like that because I end up using a portfolio style cover that protects the screen. But for G Pad I cut the tab and have been using the stock one till this day with no issues. Its hard, seems durable, came with no bubbles and wipes off clean without extra effort. So why not ... ;) ... lol

The Next Owner...

It makes me feel good to let the next owner of my G-Pad know He or She has the option to be the 1st One to ever touch the screen on their just received tablet since it was assembled at the factory.. And since my V.O.I.A. case was waiting when I brought my G-Pad home, it has never been naked.. not one single second since it's left the box.. I'm glad that I've kept the factory screen protector on and had the case in place.. The new owner will get a "Like New" G-Pad at a fraction of the cost..

That's a Win-Win.

I can't imagine wax offering any real protection, however it would mask scratching that is already there (well, I have none).
It only protects against micro scratches from your fingers (if any) from quartz stuck on your tips. They just glide along instead of dig in. yea its not going to do a thing when it comes to car keys or dropping in, but it will protect against haze. I just like it because it makes the screen much easier to clean and is butter smooth. Im also talking about synthetic powerderless wax, not carnoba paste wax.

I'm very happy to say not one thing has changed...

The original factory installed Screen Protector is still in place and holding up PERFECTLY.. And the same can be said for my V.O.I.A. case which I have not removed since it's installation as well.. it's like it was built on the device along with the Screen Protector. Original Charger/USB Cable are performing excellent as well.. So whoever purchases this particular machine will receive it in it's original box and condition.. ;)

I replaced the original film right after I bought it. Used a matte protector made by Evecase and it is holding up well. The only reason I use a protector is to matte the screen to stop the mirror reflections when reading outside.

I still have the original which is not so fluid at touch compared to other screen protectors! Only thing is that I can't replace it as screen protectors nor cases for the g pad are available in my country :(
