Let's assume runme.sh has been extracted to /sdcard:
sh /sdcard/runmesh
Enter
:good:
It was. The log I was viewing had multiple errors of:
_ _ _ has failed. /system/toolbox does not exist.
So I said, what the heck, let's just rule that error out at least. Let's place toolbox in /system and give it 0755 permissions!
Yeah, don't do that. Don't ever do that lol! :good:
SuperSU is required for the Permissive script or switch to Permissive if you can if wanting SuperUser. :good:
Thanks for reminding me, I assumed RC8.1 would be brief as I was just wanting to test for bug fixes. RC8.1 is mostly a light debloat of directories and specific files I suspected most for the various reported issues. The only thing added was the runmesh.sh script for deep_buffer removal. I'm still waiting for more reports on SQ between RC8 and RC8.1 to know what to do for the next update.
I suspect your current issue is Enforcing Selinux. Test Atmos on Permissive Selinux and let me know if works or not. :good:
If your goal was to boot with any HarmanKardon preset data then yes, you have been flashing in wrong order all along. :good:

Thanks man!
What is it that makes the current libraries used seem super outdated? I download the NEON build from Neutron's website with every update and add those libraries into the sound system even if the libraries were not actually updated in some cases. Are the libraries you shared from the normal Play Store version? The difference between those two sets of libraries might be very interesting. :good:
ah, it's cause you got the arm7 with neon version. x86 and the arm8/64bit versions have the top tier drivers and **** but I'm not sure you can download the arm64 one from the site, ill check, and zip up those libs instead
addendum: the NEON version is faster than the standard arm7 version that is normally installed on arm7 detected devices when they get it from the play store. if you have an arm8/arm64 device, it will detect that and you'll get the best version from the play store automatically. x86 is detected as well but i always check the site too for the extended change logs and sometimes the updates are staggered. i might try the arm64 libs on my phone since i do have linhoudini, just for the lulz. will report shortly

Am using a kernel already set on Permissive Selinux
reroot using systemmode supersu. full unroot in your supersu app first, reboot to recovery and flashIn my Nexus 7, I can't set selinux mode to permissive. Neither superSU enable SELinuxModeChanger-v3.2 nor terminal command helps changing after boot. So atmos FC. Please help.
Using PureNexus flo ROM, ARISE RC 8
I'm on RC7 and it sounds excellent (Exodus preset, HK+gdh tweak) but the sound is crackling a bit. I'm on permissive and Ondemand kernel so that's surely not the culprit. How to fix? Can't use search cause I'm using the Xda Labs app.
with permissive, both dts and atmos is working for me! no force close. :highfive:
Yeah systemmode superSU saved me. Thank you Genius. ?reroot using systemmode supersu. full unroot in your supersu app first, reboot to recovery and flash

# The ARISE™ modular installation zip works by using this file (when present in /sdcard as /sdcard/arise_customize.prop) to determine if any modules are to be installed by a value of "true" for each line below.
# Any value other than "true" is the same as a value of "false".
# Add a value of "true" to desired add-on(s). Example:
install.xxxx=true
# The Core System module must be installed at least once and only once. Once the core module is installed, the value of "true" should be removed for future customization installing, uninstalling, or executing scripts and modules.
# If a rom update or system wipe is performed resulting in the need to reinstall the sound system, edit /sdcard/arise_customize.prop to include a value of "true" for the core module to complete your sound system installation, followed by removing the value of "true" from the core module once booted.

## Qualcomm™ Audio Effects Configuration START ##
# Qualcomm™ devices have the ability to select from four audio effects configurations using Android O (default), Asus, DAP (native Dolby Atmos), Huawei, Sony, or Stock /soundfx libraries.
# IMPORTANT!!
# If installing an audio effects configuration on a currently installed sound system, BE SURE TO INSTALL THE CURRENTLY INSTALLED MODULES AGAIN USING THE APPROPRIATE VALUES!!
# Installing Core is not necessary, but any other module IS NECESSARY so that those modules' entries are written to the new audio effects configuration!!
# As a reminder, any preferred or custom audio effects configuration can always be automatically installed during the Core System module installation by placing it directly in /sdcard named arise_effects.conf to result with /sdcard/arise_effects.conf.
