@ephexxis plz, don't forget to share your ultra secret Neutron eq file!
Thanks for your advice. I'm just wandering if I am the only one having fc's with dolby atmos. I just hope a future release will fix this.Dolby Atmos GUI (New Version and Old version) both are a hit or miss when it comes to device compatibility. You might want to use the GUI-less version much better sounding and will not cause you some headaches about FC's
I just gave up with the Dolby Atmos GUI thing since it always FC's on my device despite my best efforts, been using Dolby Atmos GUI-less and adjusted it via tweak.prop and everything sounds good and everything's working well. :good:
Sorry. Being a bit of newbie to Neutron Player. How do I install your EQ preset? Do I put the HTML file in the NeutronMP folder and is it obvious what I need to select then in settings to activate it?see i don't forget! i do apologize for being mostly in and out of the thread the past few days, it's been really hard to get anything done for reasons passing understanding. @guitardedhero literally defies everything i know about time management and circadian rhythm.
ANYWAYS... so in the interest of time im gonna post a link to my new XDA folder on my drive (which has 100gb of unused space still @guitardedhero if you need anything hosted or stored there, thank you based ASUS zf2/google drive promo).
this folder will be updated i imagine daily or every few days or basically whenever i think of something you guys might find useful or if there are additional requests for neutron files, EQs that sort of thing. if i make any more tutorial vids too, this is where they will be and I've since moved the two I've made so far into this folder. i gave the folder full edit permissions just in case of weirdness but i ask that you guys don't do anything silly like delete everything. not like these aren't all copies but that would be annoying.
NOTE: you'll notice the Neutron files are within a folder called NeutronMP. this is because Neutron has a super dope feature where if you create a folder named NeutronMP in your internal storage (sdcard, not like you have to put it in /data/media), close Neutron (if it was open) and open it once more, all of its vital files including its database, theme, EQ and all your Playlist files will be populated in that folder, and any time you reinstall Neutron (like when you clean flash including wiping /data) Neutron will search for this folder and use it as its primary data, thereby making Neutron essentially invulnerable to factory resets. stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
that's why i formatted the folder as such, so that were once inclined to just grab everything to add to their NeutronMP, you can grab it and just merge it easy as can be. Keep in mind though that any of your own config files would be overwritten, which is why i didn't include like my neutron settings in there. if you like your own EQs and want to just add more you'll have to open my EQ.XML and copy paste the data to yours.
right now i just have my EQs and Theme in there for those who are interested, i spent the last 2 hours cleaning up the EQs and renaming them things that aren't retarded.
with the EQs, BE SURE TO APPLY PREAMP ATTENUATION BEFORE USING THEM. just for safety in case you left all your other volumes high or if your set up allows for minimal headroom. you should always drop your digital gain prior to boosting any levels with any EQ, as boosting digital gain above 0dB is a surefire way to introduce distortion to your output and who wants that? okay now I'm going to get back to working on my repack, but with rc 8.4 since having the htc10 dolby as a base should make everything a lot easier. good thing is my tweak.prop is already damn near perfect and that component took the longest i think so, should be able to send it to GH for approval soon, hopefully later today.

It must be the /system/etc/tfa change to JBL, RC8.2 and RC8.4 work for you?
How much free /system space shows to be available and what device?
RC8.3 and RC8.4 worked properly?
I'm terminal, what is the output of the following?:
If Permissive is the output, you might try deleting /vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf and reboot. :good:

If this hasn't been addressed yet the neon super driver is flashed by default in most builds. in the case that its not, installing v4a the vanilla way using just the APK as any ordinary peasant would, will prompt you to select it if your phone supports it (which yours does). hope this helps, emillicious' fiance. cheers
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate you doing this for us.
Anyone have any ideas with the above?
