Not sure if this is a bug but it has been going on for me since I moved to A13. Whenever I have a game on and the screen turns off, once I turn on the screen again the half of the screen closer to the bottom just becomes unresponsive to touch and only way to temporarily fix it is to turn off the screen and then turn it back on again.

I switched to ArrowOS 13 a few days ago (clean install). Everything is actually going very well, but I can't create a backup under TWRP 3.7.0_12-0.
The backup starts, runs for a short time and then the message createTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255 Backup Failed appears. Under ArrowOS 12.1 this was not a problem, even the restore ran perfectly.
With Orange Fox i have the same

The second minor issue is that the display won't turn off after 30 seconds. It gradually gets a little darker, but it doesn't turn off completely. Does anyone else know this problem? I use the Nova Launcher...

Solution found
If someone has this problem, just open the log file in the TWRP backup folder and scroll down to the bottom. There is then the error why the backup could not be carried out. In my case there were 3 fonts that were displayed as errors one after the other. After I deleted the third font with a root explorer, the backup could be carried out successfully

I updated to A13 and so far so good, but one thing I am missing is ability do disable led while charging, I am almost positive it was possible natively in A12, now I can only disable the LED entirely, even for notifications, which I don't want to. Any suggestions?

There is nothing to explain.
Out of experience I can tell you that often after Updates battery life seems unexplainably worse for 2-3 days.
But that just vanishes after a while.

I had that exact same thing happen to myself, you can read about it just a few pages back.
I think it has to do with app optimization, the actual battery consumption might be exactly the same, but system doesn't know how much each app consumes and shows lower battery than it actually is just to be safe. A couple of charging cycles and it should settle.

First time experiencing this from an update on Arrow, I posted to see if anyone else was having a similar experience, didn't necessarily need the "advice" thanks.

Yes, I had the same thing happen to me when I switched to A13 couple a days ago, battery went down fast, it is fine now, I believe I fully charged 3 times since then.

There hasn't been any annoucements of that, I'd be happy even with 1 bigger update / month, most OEMs can't even do that

Still no news from the Arrow team? Other god roms do not have the vanilla version, i will miss Arrow if this is really abandoned. A statement from soomeone inside the development can be appreciated.

Still on 11, as it proved to be the most stable, hassle free and battery efficient rom in the ArrowOS line , maybe will try 12.1 in the future.

Why in the hell would you push yourself to update to a google trainwreck like A13 or A14 is beyond me... peer pressure? Does your willy get bigger by having latest android version?

Android 13 is objectively better, more streamlined, secure and gives you more control over your device. Just because you don't understand/use the new features doesn't mean the OS is ****. Also it's pretty sad you feel better just because you're using an older OS XDD

Any tests to backup that statement?
    Regarding battery life.
IMHO they are all pretty similar after 1-2 weeks of settling down.

Infra is still WIP, otas may take time.
We lost our sponsor so we now had to buy few new mirrors/servers so migration is taking a lot of time, we are redoing a lot of backend stuff here

11.0 -> 12.0 -> 12.1 all are dirty flash, no need to format data
    (I have summarized/documented it here: https://kubersharma001.com/index-arrowos-vayu-poco-x3-pro)

Lawnchair is not compatible properly with 12.1 (aosp did some changes in 12L/12.1 and lawnchair needs to rebase their source to 12.1 quickstep/launcher3 or make it compatible however that's possible otherwise)

The latest update uses MIUI13 blobs and configs, You can use any firmware from MIUI 12.x to 13.x (thanks vendor freeze lol)
    [ device changelogs:
    - device config/tree: https://github.com/ArrowOS-Devices/android_device_xiaomi_vayu/commits/arrow-12.1
    - vendor blobs: https://github.com/ArrowOS-Devices/android_vendor_xiaomi_vayu/commits/arrow-12.1

hint: If you see till 31st march some commits are pushed via Palaych, that's me from his server user (sharing the infra server together for now, yes servers are expensive)
    ]

One of the most noticeable bugs on 12L (generally, and doesn't surprise) is for gapps users on a clean flash might need to set up fingerprint at setup wizard to avoid crashes (hopefully this gets fixed next ASB)

Official ArrowOS 13 based on Android 13 has been released!
    - Stable and no known bugs, safetynet+ enforcing works
(Not all the features are ported)

    arrow-12.1 released with pputils removed.
arrow-11.0 will soon release with august security patches, 2022 and pputils removed.

New method used to pass Safetynet adds a new prop which is passed as build fp via frameworks hook, those who manually want to change, can change value of:
ro.build.gms_fingerprint in system default props to whatever build fp they like. (will need root/mod/addon/magisk etc - what we set default will always pass safetynet)
