Nope, unlock your bootloader (developer options, enable OEM unlocking, add your account to the bit in the associated account thingy, forgot the exact name), then try to unlock with MiFlashUnlocker, wait the 168 hours, then unlock, boot into fastboot, download OrangeFox (my personal recommendation), if its in your download folder go to cmd and type cd c:\users\username\downloads\folder its in if any.You have to be rooted right to install a custom ROM?
Yes i tried crdroid too but there is a bug with clock it's keep crashing and can't set alarm too .Hope so. For now if BT Audio is a concern for you, I'd flash pixel experience or crDroid, the latter being my favourite from those 2
