Yes this recovery is safe to use. Also you linked miui for Mi 10T not for Mi 10T Lite. For Gauguin you can get Miui from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/gauguin/

I personally used 12.0.5.0 and it worked without any problems
Thank you for your quick reply.
A notification says if I click, the version V12.0.8.0.QJSEUXM will be installed (514 MB) .
Does this mean I do not have to do any further actions?
1) Approve Update
2) Install OrangeFox
3) Format Data
4) Install this ROM
5) Wipe listed partitions
Is this correct?
This is the screenshot of the notification (unfortunately in German).

Here's guide on how to flash:

Q in Miui version stands for Android 10 and you need to have Android 11 so you will either have to update further or flash miui on android 11

Here's a link to Miui A11. Download recovery version!

Sorry if this is the wrong place but wanted to ask.

Am running Arrow_gauguin (2021-02-19 5D8CCCFB - build RQ2A-210405.006) and was prompted to do an update to the latest available on 2021-05-15; however, it's asking me to download and format /data from recovery rather than running the update internally.

Guessing if I do that it's going to wipe all my data which I'll then have to restore or will all the data still be there upon formatting and install of the ROM update?

So just to check the process would be:
Download ZIP to SDcard
Boot into recovery (in my case Orangefox);
Backup /data;
Format /data;
Install ZIP from SD;
Normal boot;
Reboot to recovery and restore data.
@ganesh varma would you be able to assist me with the above question at all please?

Download link does not function (at least) since yesterday :-(
Europe : File not found/removed!
USA : File not found/removed!
SE Asia : File not found/removed!

@ganesh varma : is it possible to release a new Version and fix the download link?

go to archives and download from there
No need: there is a new Version Arrow-v11.0-gauguin-OFFICIAL-20210529-VANILLA.zip which works fine :)

Waiting for it i have tried the Guide https://blog.arrowos.net/compilation-guide/ to compile it myself.
I have initialized my local repository and synced it.
In the next step i could not find the file lineage_gauguin.mk

May be you, @ganesh varma or someone with experience explain me what does:
To maintain the quality of device sources we recommend using device Tree, device-common, kernel source, vendor from LineageOS/TheMuppets ORG thus this guide will be based on how to compile Arrow OS after adapting LineageOS Device sources to our platform.
mean. Because i think some parts of Lineage OS had to be checked first. Is there a link explaining that?
I used grep to find gauguin specific files but not one file is under /arrow directory. So there must be another repo.

Have a nice day ...

along side arrow source code you need to also get kernel vendor and device tree for this phone. That's why you could not find those files, because they are in kernel, vendor, tree repository.

Can't explain much more. If you really want to compile it by yourself then search on some guides on how to do it.

Anyone has a problem with the sound in Microsoft Teams ? The sound is metallic and accelerated. A voice very robotic. Chipmunk sound.

I have this problem since the update of miui_GAUGUINEEAGlobal_V12.0.1.0.RJSEUXM_15bfbef742_11.0.zip to flash arrowsOs

This is confusing:
. in the first post there is no link to device tree / device-common
. there is no official support for gauguin in Lineage OS
. in Arrow OS Blog it says TheMuppets ORG but https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_xiaomi is down due to Copyright violation.

IMHO that is the most serious problem in Custom ROM community: everybody is so busy with launchers, customization, VoLTE icons, wallpapers, animations, rooting, tweaking, antutu, ... none of the existing 15 ROMs are well documented. :-(
seems promising. I will give it a try. Let's see ...
Actually i wanted a completely Google-Free-ROM.

Custom ROMs are meant to be an alternative to a stock ROM (in case of this phone MIUI). Community wants customizations and good performance and antutu is one of many ways to check that. Root gives you even more options to customize your phone to your likings. Lineage is more of a base for more custom roms, not many people are using it from what I see. If you want Google free ROM just flash AOSP gsi.

Also why do you want to compile already existing rom?

Yes 277.000 points in Antutu is better than 276.000.
Some fancy transparency is also cool.
IMHO all is not that important than the fact that some company know: where exactly i am, what exactly i am doing, which pages i am surfing, who writes me a mail, to whom i write a message, ... every day, every minute. Even if i sleep or turn GPS off!
Lineage is more of a base for more custom roms, not many people are using it from what I see.
My point was @ganesh varma wrote in "How To Compile" document "get that parts from Lineage OS" without reference to where exactly and Gauguin is not an official LOS device. So I am only trying to get just 3 URIs, which had to be in the first post usually.
If you want Google free ROM just flash AOSP gsi.
A ROM without GAPPS is not a Google-Free ROM!
Also why do you want to compile already existing rom?
To change Google Time Server, Google DNS server, Google GPS server, Goggle Captive Portal, Google ... with free alternatives before compiling.
Such a pity that none of https://e.foundation/ , https://iode.tech/en/ , https://calyxos.org , https://grapheneos.org/ exist for Gauguin and those projects do not make great progress :cry:
So i thought may be manually overriding some google/gstatic URIs and changing some built-in apps would be good enough for the first step.
Compiling Pixel Experience was problem free. May be its maintainer can give some answers *fingerscrossed*

It's getting updates since release day which was in february so I don't think dev will stop maintaining it soon
