For those experiencing Wi-Fi issues:

Hey, can you give me another dmesg on a ROM/kernel with a working Wi-Fi?
Just reboot, check Wi-Fi works and get a dmesg.

Thanks.
This is relatively a trivial issue to fix. Just need some additional info from the users.

Couldn't pass the initial setup of PE because of the "google play store keeps stopping" message and it did hanged on "checking for updates" one.

edit: solved by formatting and install again system image.

According to the rules that would have me banned as a regular user too. If there's a work-around, I'd be happy to help. The LTE version is on sale for 229.99 USD currently. No more OT from here :)
Is this for the Mi pad 4 LTE? I was considering starting a fundraiser for Mi pad 4 plus. The device would cost £220 from AliExpress. I am highly interested as I own a Mi Pad 4 plus and Xiaomi.EU is just about usable.

Yes from Banggood (app only). Aside from ram/storage/battery/screen size configuration, the LTE versions are the same with the exception of a fingerprint scanner on the plus model. Fixing the FP scanner without having the device on hand may cause headache. Perhaps funding a Plus model is the best option. Currently, there's one for sale on AE for 279.99 USD.

If we got just a Mi pad 4 plus which has LTE, would Arter be able to use it allow his kernel to be used on the regular mi pad 4 LTE as well as the mi pad 4 plus?

Obviously I'm biased owning the plus model but we could try raise for both?

Final OT answer: AFAIK, it shouldn't be a problem. However, fixing potential FP scanner issue/bug without having the Plus version? Not for me to answer. You have to ask @arter97 :)

What I'm suggesting is just buying the plus model to fix any fp issues as well as LTE issues for all models, if that would work. If you could let us know @arter97 that would be great and then we'll get back OT

Here's the Plus model for 279.99 USD (DHL shipping to Korea included) -> 307.98 USD with Korean import tax:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...dragon-660-Octa-Core-Face-ID/32911450151.html

You can track prices from:
http://www.china-prices.com/ (that's where I found the above mentioned)
https://www.devicespecifications.com/
https://www.kimovil.com/en/
Seller who's selling multilingual version at a lower price usually means it's a used one that got a refund.
I was looking for ones who sell multilingual version at the same price to avoid possible headaches from getting a used one, especially when it's hard to get a warranty support from a Chinese seller.

Valid point and hard to argue with that :) In the feedback section a buyer says it's factory sealed and it does appear factory sealed on the other pictures from other buyers (one reported as the Chinese version). However, would you be likely to order the Chinese version then? It's 316 USD (DHL shipping + tax included).

If I buy a Chinese version, I'll have to wait 30 days for the bootloader to get unlocked.
Multilingual version most likely means it's an unlocked model, so the box would have been opened. I just want to avoid ones that a customer actually used and refunded.

does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I cant seem to flash the vendor. I have extracted the downloaded file through WinRAR to a vendor.simg file
But when I flash it, it says data transfer failure too many links.
Tried in cmd too and it says command write failed too many links

@arter97 so with your kernel vendor and PA Pie, would you recommend the Mi Pad 4 ? especially regarding touch latency
Yes and no.
If you're expecting iOS-like touch latency, this isn't for you.

I tried everything I can, but most of the touch latency issue is from the touch panel's firmware.
That thing's untouchable by a 3rd party(me).

OnePlus was similar with the OnePlus 3 but after my rant on Twitter, which went viral, they fixed the touch panel's firmware.
I don't think that's ever going to happen with Xiaomi.

Right now with my thinggies on, it performs like a $200 tablet.
I'd say it gets your money's worth.
Stock performed like, let's say $20.

If I don't necessary want a big screen to look at, I still enjoy doing stuffs like web browsing on my OnePlus 6 more.
