B130_B173_ATT is the files i sent to clsA for his b130 rom. i've not received any notification on a newer update yet.
@freedomwarrior nice dark theme btw. what are you using?

Thanks
Typically the first number in the update denotes the current version while the second number is what's being pushed out

The first update should have been B120_B130_ATT.

I would have to go back to when it was posted to be sure.

@clsA

I was doing a little digging around and I noticed Huawei has finally released the source code for this phone. Would now having the source code available now make it easier to get the data encryption stuff working in our TWRP recovery? I was just curious..
https://consumer.huawei.com/en/open...Type=openSourceSoftware&pageSize=10&curPage=3

It is a shame we don't have much developers in this forum anymore. It would have been awesome to flash a working LineageOS rom to this phone. :)

hxxps://easy-firmware com/home/browse/file-info/id/90375/H1711C07B130/
Great
I mirrored the files here > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=746163614322275844
and the Stock Boot.img is here > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682905503
Stock Recovery here > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682905573

if you need instructions I posted them here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76902495&postcount=86
Warning: This will totally wipe your phone. Backup anything on the phone you want to keep first.
This will also relock the bootloader and remove the warning screens at bootup !

instructions are in the download but in short you just

1.unzip the files to your PC and copy the dload folder to the root of the ext_sdcard
(using 7zip open >
TOR-A1_H1711C07B130_Firmware_United States_AT&T COMUNICACIONES DIGITALES, S. DE R.L. DE C.V._Android 7.0_EMUI 5.1_05014KCS.zip
\Software\SDupdate_Package.tar.gz\SDupdate_Package.tar\dload)

1b.If you have TWRP you'll have to flash stock recovery to your phone for the update to work

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img or from TWRP / Install / Install Image / recovery.img / Recovery

2.from the phone dialer *#*#2846579#*#* -> ProjectMenu -> Software Upgrade -> SDCard Upgrade-> OK

3.EMUI should come up and restore your phone to Stock
you'll need Stock recovery for your phone not the one for the Elate

CleanRom Suggestion

CleanRom removes most of the blotware (which is amazing) but it doesn’t remove google slides, Sheets, and Docs.

When your flash V2 of CleanRom, the apps are still there as normal uninstallable Preloaded apps (Not disablable System apps)

So, I recommend going in and make sure that those 3 are completely gone from the rom

This is frustrating.

I have successfully installed the XT2 B130 CleanRom, but unable to install Magisk or obtain root.
Magisk v 16.0 ends with ERROR: 255
Magisk v 17.1 ends with ERROR: 2

I did reboot and install a few apps before attempting to install Magisk. Does Magisk need to be installed immediately after the ROM and before booting back to system?

Hoping someone can help me... I'm stuck in a boot-loop and cannot format /data. twrp just gives me an error:
"unable to wipe '/data' -- unknown files system 'auto' | unable to format to remove encryption"

I hope I didn't brick this thing lmao.

Are you using the newest TWRP ?
Are you choosing format data and typing Yes?
How did you get to this point ?

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. Yes, latest iteration of TWRP (fixed version) available. I think I goofed big time. I should have read through the Elate cleanrom thread you made before attempting to flash this phone, since you point out there that we should select the read only mode... Well, I never did that... So I'm pretty sure I bricked it. I haven't been involved in the custom rom scene for a while so I was using my outdated knowledge of when I used to flash my fascinate and e970... Basically encryption wasn't an issue then and wiping /userdata wasn't a big deal. I'm pretty sure I messed up the partition encryption as I attempted to reformat the file system for /data. I'm not sure if I can recover it from this goof lol. Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Couple of questions
Do you have the XT2 or the Elate
the phones are similar but not exactly the same

keep in mind I got rid of my phones over a year ago and I'm going off memory, but I remember these phones as almost un breakable

if you can get to fastboot you can fix the phone

Oh that's good news! I have the xt2 and I do have access to fastboot and twrp recovery.

I only brought up the elate because you have a clean rom for that and I noticed (after the fact) that the install instructions are more detailed on that thread than on this one. That's the only reason I brought it up.

Thanks again for your quick responses.

Hi, I'm trying to download the official firmware from AndroidFileHost from your repository, but it sends me an error, can you give me an alternative to download the official firmware?

TOR-A2_C153B120_Firmware_United States_AT&T_Android 7.0_EMUI 5.1_05014LTK.zip

I don't have TWRP or root, I can only install via UPDATE.APP. Thank you!

Hi, try another browser and from there if you allowed me to download it. With Chrome and Internet Explorer I was wrong. Now my phone is working normally after installing the file. Thank you!

So, I followed your guide. I didn't have any problems, or so I though. Once I was done and wanted to re-root, I found out that the FRP is locked, even though I used my legit google credentials. Nothing I'm doing works to get past it. Fastboot screen says Phone: Unlocked, FRP: Lock. I have no root at all, and a bunch of those apps are still there. Also, the Unlock OEM option in developer mode is off and greyed out. So, as far as I can tell, I can't do anything. What do I do? Thanks.
