Ascending / Increasing tones

Hi all. Is there a way now how to have this in place? I tried to look in the options and check the internet, and even found a hilarious thread

But how to have this working? Of course it would be good to have the ringing low at first then if not picked up it increases in volume until answered or cut out. Heck, even the ancient dumb phones have this, why not a latest phone?

Are all android phones like this, needing an app for a simple basic feature?

Do we really need to manually modify a sound file and make it as a ringer to attain this?

Nothing really? How do you guys manage to work around this? I'm sure at some point you thought about this?
